Last week I went to see Manchester Phoenix for the first time this season, and it was a great night. The next time you see a Premiership footballer rolling around clutching his leg or head, remember the video below and laugh. I wonder how long a team of footballers would last against a team of ice hockey players? I reckon the footballers would run a mile before even getting on the ice.
The fight below is not just a great fight, but is two brothers fighting!
Think I'll gorge myself next weekend and go straight to the Phoenix game after watching FC United.

Ice Hockey Tonight
Missed the football yesterday, for a very pleasant soiree with some good friends, so it's off to the Ice Hockey tonight. Manchester Phoenix in the semi-final of the cup. Wonder if anything like this will happen. It's a game for men!

More Ice Hockey Fights
This post is specifically for Mark Wadsworth, whose blog you really should visit.
Mark was sceptical about a hockey fight I posted a few days ago. He wondered whether it had been staged. I hope the film, set to music by Guns 'n' Roses below, will convince him that there are very real,very ugly but quite spontaneous fights regularly in ice hockey.

And the girls at games seem to love the fights at least as much, if not more, than the fellas do. It's not a game for fairies!

Ice Hockey
Aggression is one of the great aspects of ice hockey, but it can sometimes boil over into this kind of thing.
What a fight,perhaps politicians should decide issues like this. Anyway, if you like your sport fast and furious, with the odd bout of hand-to-hand combat, then get down to your nearest ice hockey club. It's great entertainment.

Ice Hockey
One of the things certain to get ice hockey fans on their feet is a good fight between players, either one on one or, as happened in Manchester on Saturday night, a mass brawl. Occasionally the crowd get involved too as happened here when Serbian hockey players took on the Lithuanian crowd.
But it isn't limited to Eastern Europe. Some of the worst fights, or best depending on your outlook, are in the USA with many mass brawls and one on ones on Youtube featuring American teams.
Perhaps MPs v Electorate is worth a try instead of elections!
