Until last night's BBC Question Time Tony Blair was frontrunner for this blog's Twat of the Year award, by quite a distance. Then those cuddly pinko lefties at the BBC invited Russell Brand, who describes himself as a 'comedian', onto Question Time.
He's about as funny as a dose of clap. In a sterling performance of unrivalled fuckwittery he romped home leaving Blair way back. Hopefully Blair's consolation prize will be an appearance in The Hague on war crimes charges.
For sheer stupidity, shallowness and appalling mauling of the English language Brand is unrivalled. He is a motor mouth with a small range of cheap slogans that appeal to the political mong fraternity but clearly lacks intelligence and originality.
The day the working classes need a pampered, petulant multimillionaire like Brand on their side is the day we might as well give up.

Egypt, The Middle East and Mealy Mouthed Liberals

Last night the most guilty ideoligical nutter was Mehdi Hasan of, no surprises here, the New Statesman. This character has such deep seated loathing for this country, and the West in general, I wonder why he doesn't just pick another country and get the hell out of here. If I loathed this country as much as he does I'd certainly be elswhere now.
Then there was the old dinosaur of social demoracy Menzies Campbell. For a total failure and utter nonentity to be regarded as the grand old man of the Liberal Democrats really says all you need to know about the junior coalition partners currently governing this country. No wonder he pronounces his name Ming. No, not the Chinese dynasty, although he is very old. I would add an "er" on the end actually.
Let's get Minger out of the way first. Talking about Islamic extremists he obviously had to make excuses for it by likening it to homegrown terrorists. So he set off on one of his rambling, patronsing spiels about what we experienced as a result of homegrown terrorists. Here we go, I thought, trundle out the IRA for a bit of moral equivalence with the Muslim nutters. But no, he stumped us all by declaring these terrorists to be waving Union Flags. Jackpot, Minger was talking about Loyalists in Ulster, not the IRA at all. Proof that the old fool really is going senile.
Now for Hasan the patronising, hateful, Western hating journalist from the New Statesman. Yes, I feel very strongly about idiots like this. He attacked this country for being patronising, pot and kettle that one, and being arrogant in thinking that Egypt and the Middle East are incapable of democracy. Apparently, according to Hasan this is obviously not the case. Oh really!
Perhaps we in the West should take a leaf out of the glowing haven of freedom, enlightenment and democracy that is the Middle East. You know, countries like Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and all the rest.
Or perhaps he was referring to Israel, the only parliamentary democracy, as we would recognise it, in the Middle East. But I doubt it, accepting a reality that goes against the left's ideological daydream isn't in their scheme of things. No, they don't like democracies that actually do what their people want them to do.
So what I saw on QT last night hit the two things that really annoy me at the moment. The inability of the political class in this country to condemn Islamic terrorism without drawing some moral equivalence with terror, perceived or otherwise, from non-Islamic groups. Even the English Defence League were attacked as violent, right-wing extremists in an effort to put them on a par with Islamic nutters. Whatever you may think of the EDL I'm not aware of them blowing up buses, trains, foreign embassies or flying planes into skyscrapers. Even Cameron was at that game in Munich when he made his feeble attack on multiculturalism, made feeble by his drawing of moral equivalence whenever he mentioned Islamic terrorists.
The second thing that is annoying me is the curent nonsensical drooling about events in Egypt. What it has shown is how damn tedious 24 hour news channels are. Do we realy need permanent pictures of Tahrir Square and the same old report being told repeatedly by some shirt sleeved reporter in a hotel overlooking the square. It's worse than being in a shop with music on a loop so you end up brainwashed with the same old sound over, and over, and over again. This, and Twitter, has produced instant experts. Deluded individuals who think Mubarak will step down on Monday, elections will be held on Tuesday and democracy will be entrenched on Wednesday. There you are, simple really, Egypt marching into the arms of democracy a la Saudi Arabia, Syria and all those other beacons of liberty in the Midde East. We in the West should really look on and learn, shouldn't we?

BBC Question Time RIP
I watched Question Time last night and it was total crap. The highlight for me was the admission by Caroline Lucas MEP that the Green Party was indeed a socialist party, something most people with a brain knew from the days of the old Ecology Party.
So at least pissed off Labour voters can turn to the Greens or the socialist British National Party. After all, most old working class Labour supporters a few years back were pretty racist in outlook hence the BNP success in Old Labour areas. So I suspect middle class sandal wearing lefties will go Green, horny handed sons of toil will go fascist.
The pissed off right wing Tories will remain with UKIP whereas those not obsessed with the EU, but pissed off with devolution and the mithering Scots, will turn to the English Democrats. So back to Question Time.
Beckett and Lansley last night talked complete bollocks when they weren't just rambling along aimlessly trying not to actually say anything at all. It's interesting that the country is financially going down the pan, we are becoming a more oppressive police state as every day passes and there is a general election next month but none of the big three parties have got anything worth saying.
QT used to be a lively political debating show, not now. It is just a vehicle for the vile, patronising Dimbleby to preen and pose on. The politicians have been emasculated by their leaderships and the odd person of sound outlook, last night the historian David Starkey, always seems to come over as eccentric at best, at worst downright insane.
Then last night the build up was not that the show was coming from Manchester, oh no. The build up last night was that the show was coming from Wythenshawe. If you don't know Wythenshawe it is, or at least used to be, the biggest council estate in Europe and its immediate neighbour is Manchester Airport. I suppose those middle class patronising BBC types thought that announcing Wythenshawe as the venue would give them street cred, but it didn't.
The reason last night's QT had no credibility was that I didn't hear a single Mancunian accent in the audience, let alone a Wythenshawe accent. If you wonder what a Wythenshawe accent sounds like imagine somebody who makes the Gallagher brothers sound posh. The BBC cocked up yet again and proved that the QT audience is not representative of the area in which it takes place. If it had done last night I suspect that Beckett and Lansley would now be in mixed sex wards in Wythenshawe Hospital, while Charles Kennedy would be just coming round after an almighty session in the Red Beret on cheap lager after being relieved of his wallet, watch and any other valuables.
Just to show what bollocks you find on Wikipedia I want to digress briefly and mention the following bit about Wythenshawe from Wikipedia:
That's bollocks. Shameless was filmed in West Gorton, Manchester 12. Yes they did move to Wythenshawe because the crew and cast kept getting attacked by local yobs. They now film on an enclosed, fortress like set in on a Wythenshawe industrial estate where a replica set of West Gorton has been built. It was not filmed in Miles Platting or Ancoats but yes, I believe the cast and crew were also attacked when they used to film on the streets of Wythenshawe too. The tower blocks curently seen on the show are still the West Gorton tower blocks from the original. Sorry but that is a hobby of mine and I know both Wythenshawe and West Gorton particularly well as I was born in West Gorton and the missus was born in Wythenshawe.
But I suppose that QT, which is what I really should be rambling on about, indeed the BBC as an institution, mirrors the country at the moment. Used to be great, is now run by shallow, money crazed imbeciles who use political correctness to stifle real debate, and impose the tactics of totalitarianism to save us from terrorism, which means in their patronising fascistic minds, actually saving us from ourselves.

Nick Griffin and Question Time-The Last Word
It's all getting very tedious now, almost as tedious as the aftermath of that Paris car crash, or was it murder?
There seems to be a puke inducing holier-than-thou, self-righteousness fest as the politically correct try to outdo each other in their disgust at Griffin's appearance on Question Time.
All sense of proportion has been lost. Shirley Williams, David Owen and Bill Rodgers couldn't 'break the mould' so I would bet my life that the BNP are not about to take over from New Labour, next year or ever.
The only thing the politically correct misfits are doing is making themselves look very, very silly and dangerously obsessive. I have decided never to mention him, or his appearance on this blog again, please kick me if I do.
The Sunday Times today has the most balanced coverage, I can recommend it then suggest you move on. I particularly liked this AA Gill article.

Nick Griffin on Question Time
So what was the point of Nick Griffin being invited on to QT? Was it to prove that human beings, certainly those in the studio audience and on the panel, still enjoy a good old fashioned freak show? All they had to do was bring Griffin into the studio on a lead and shout "roll up, roll up" and we would have been straight back to the Victorian days of prodding the freak.
The BBC have now pissed off those loveable 'red-fascists' for inviting him on, and proceeded to piss the rest of the country off by allowing bullying and the dropping of all pretence of intellectual rigour. It was pretty sickening to watch in some ways.They had the chance to politically rip the BNP apart, but chose to use the tactics of the school playgound. What a sad state our democracy is in when you see Chris Huhne and Baroness Warsi unable to defeat Griffin by reasoned political argument, not the sharpest knives in the draw, I hope.
It's also been interesting seeing how the opponents of the BNP appear to be even worse in their views on free speech and democracy than the 'fascists'. These are the people who attack 'white imperialists' and use 'indigenous' people in North America and the Antipodes to attack us but then attack Griffin for referring to the 'indigenous' British population, a point made by Griffin. I don't agree with either position, they are virtually the same, but Griffin is condemned, the 'liberals' are not. Personally I look forward to a libertarian future where there are no immigration controls, but suspect that is some way away.
Again the so-called 'liberals' constantly whine about slavery and blame the likes of you and me, to the extent that ludicrous apologies are demanded from us today. But when Griffin pointed out that Jack Straw's father hid under the stairs in 1939, whereas Griffin's father fought the Germans, he was condemned for visiting the sins of the father on the son. Another example of crass hypocrisy.
I'm not going to be forced onto the bandwagon of stating that I dislike the BNP, you only have to read this blog to know my position, but I see no difference between the red-fascists of Unite Against Fascism, and the likes of Peter Hain, and the BNP.
The loser last night was the BBC. Question Time has been shown, yet again, to be a vacuous sham, fit only for the smug pseudo-intellectuals of Islington having little relevance outside the politically correct chattering classes. There was a great chance to rip Griffin apart, but they just called him names. If you still have any illusions about the impartiality of QT please watch the clip below.
Just to put some perspective, and to inject a note of realism into the hype of the last few days, the BNP got 6% in the EU elections and gained 2 seats under a system of proportional representation. They would just about save their deposits with 6% in a parliamentary election under our first past the post system. Food for thought there for the Liberal Democrats and others.

BBC Question Time
Tonight's QT showed why politicians in the UK need exterminating. Two examples:
Ben Bradshaw MP (Culture Secretary), when asked about the recent kidnapping of film director Roman Polanski, by the Swiss on behalf of the USA, couldn't even comment claiming: "I don't know, I was only a kid in 1978", or words to that effect. Twat!
Theresa May, Tory Shadow Bitch (or similar) when asked about teen pregnancies said: "We will introduce legislation to curb this", or words to that effect.
So who will you sterilise Theresa, the lads or the girls? No, you came out with that shite because you thought it sounded good at the time.
But, as ever with British politicians, she was talking complete and utter crap.

BNP Question Time
Labour seem to have gone into hyper totalitarian mode over the BNP leader apparently being approved by the BBC to appear on QT. They advocate free speech as long as they approve of what's beng said, as do many so called 'liberals' these days. Surprisingly the Lib Dems have said they would not boycott if Griffin appeared. Labour seem set to boycott.
Free speech actually means free speech. If you hate what somebody stands for then argue against them and win the argument, which you will if you are in the right. I want the right not to vote BNP because I know all about them and choose not to, not because they are banned. Free speech, as long as I approve of what you say, is actually censorship.

The Prat On 'Question Time'.
I often wonder why BBC's 'Question Time' has to have an utter prat on every week. It is, after all, supposed to be a serious political debating show. I suppose the word 'show' says it all really, and the prat might just make some of the politicians appear bright by contrast.
But last night, and I could only manage to watch half an hour, Will Young was on. Yes, that Will Young, the one who won a karaoke competition on telly a coule of years ago. He was shallow, as expected, and not the most articulate young chap I've ever come across. He must be the biggest prat yet to appear on that fast fading 'show', unless the Aristotle in him came to the fore in the second half and I missed it.
I say get rid of Dimbleby, he's the one constant prat on the show, and a bloody annoying one at that.

Nitwit Pulled From Question Time
Serious government nitwit Phil Woolas has been pulled from Question Time by the government. It seems that with the country in recession a Home Office minister is being replaced by a finance minister.
That and the fact that the man is a complete clown who, in true Prescott style, drops a clanger every time he opens his huge gob. Only this week he was predicting the disestablishment of the Church of England as we now live in a 'multi-faith society'. Crap! But it is so urgent that he predicts it would take 50 years. More crap!
At the last census over 70% of the population declared themselves at least nominally Christian. We live in a Christian country that is extremely tolerant of other religions, and so it should remain. Not being an Anglican I have no problem with the C of E being in such a position and have no problem with current restrictions on us Catholics becoming king or anything else.
Perhaps Woolas should bugger off and join Prince Charles on his farm. Let's face it when the time comes for Chas to become 'Defender of the Faiths' rather than 'Defender of the Faith' it's time to sack the Saxe-Coburg-Gothas as well as Woolas. Long live the Republic!
