#GE2015-Playground Politics

We were in a pub in Lancaster on Thursday night around 10 15 when we witnessed the first couple of lefties with faces like slapped arses. Oh how we laughed, they had just heard the news that the exit polls had predicted a Tory majority. You'd think the crusty old bearded sandal wearers had just been told that they would have to take cyanide with their next pint.

This election has shown the childishness of the left, and by that I mean Labour, Greens, Lib Dems RIP, Scottish Nazionalists and Plaid Cymru. Constantly repeating the mantras "end austerity" and "we need progressive policies" are trite and meaningless, they all did it.

Constantly banging on about ending austerity begs the question how? And none of them, especially Labour, bothered to answer that. There are only two ways to end austerity their way, tax and borrow, and both would plunge is into crisis and leave billions of debt for future generations.

Those are two ways to end austerity that would not lead to prosperity. The only way to get us out of the economic mess is now austerity plus. Cut, cut and cut again. We can't slag off the feckless for squandering their money then running up massive debts going to Wonga for a payday loan then elect a Wonga government. The only way forward is to keep taxes down and axe spending which will stimulate economic and business growth which will then create wealth and jobs. Put simply if you keep borrowing against your home you have to cut your outgoings or risk losing your home. Similarly with government because, contrary to the apparent belief of the economically illiterate lefties, government money doesn't grow on trees.

Nicola Sturgeon has been treated like some kind of political sage in this election. In reality she is a nasty, simplistic, soundbite specialist who, if she was English and talked as she does about the Scots as does about us would be attacked for racism and xenophobia. All we heard was the mindless chant of "progressive, progressive, progressive". This word can mean any number of things depending what you want people to believe. It can mean slow and gradual, as in "a progressive decline in the number of people active in politics". It can mean favouring change or innovation as in "the Bauhaus was a progressive school of art". It means all things to all men. The ultimate soundbite.

The Scots over the last two years have bored the arse off the rest of us with their bloody referendum and their incessant whining and obsessing about England and Westminster. Their claim to have been ignored and left out at Westminster doesn't bear the lightest scrutiny. They are liars. These politicians were Scottish:

Tony Blair
John Smith
Robin Cooke
Gordon Brown
Donald Dewar
Douglas Alexander
Lord Irvine
Alistair Darling
George Robertson

They are the ones I can remember as being cabinet members under Blair/Brown. I am sure a little research would uncover even more Scottish ministers.

The Scottish Nazionalists are like the rest of the left, they lose then throw an almighty tantrum as if they have been the subject of some underhand conspiracy. Look at the filth in London yesterday, attacking the police and daubing graffiti on war memorials. The left has been infantilised by political correctness. You lost the election, accept it as we had to accept Blair/Brown bombing the crap out of Iraq and bankrupting the country when you won elections.

Throughout the election campaign the left proved how vacuous and juvenile their arguments are. I lost count of the number of times I saw totally baseless accusations of racism and homophobia directed at Nigel Farage, a man I detest but he is definitely neither of those things.

The left think they have a monopoly on wanting to help others. On numerous occasions during the campaign I heard patronising lefties declaring how they supported Labour because they cared about the NHS, cared about the unemployed, cared about the mentally ill, cared about the unemployed. They never got round to telling us what the reality of voting Labour would be for these groups they care so deeply about. Two of the worst offenders were Steve Coogan and Eddie Izzard. At least Coogan admitted he was minted and came from a nice, cosy middle class background.

As for the lefties' constant lies about the Conservatives and the NHS let's put that one to rest once and for all. I would love to see the NHS privatised but it's not going to happen. I was aware of Labour lying about the Tories and the NHS in 1974, they've lied about it ever since and enough gullible people fall for it every time to make the lie worth repeating. Blair/Brown were the biggest ever privatisers of the NHS with billions of pounds stacking up as debt for future generations through PFI in the health servce and the university sector. But I suppose it's easier fro the untellectually challenged to ignore reality, they probably blame Thatcher!

I voted Conservative as the best of a bad bunch and to keep Labour/SNP out. I hope Cameron now holds true to his word on a referendum on EU membership, although I think we could lose and end up staying in. But that might be good for UKIP if you look at the SNP after losing their referendum.

We had to endure 5 years of the Lib Dems RIP in coalition with 58 MPs. The Tories now have a clear majority with the SNP having 56 seats, 2 fewer than the Lib Dems RIP had in 2010. UKIP got 3.8m votes and 1 MP the SNP got 1.5m and 56 votes. The SNP took part, as a regional party, in free and fair national elections to a body they want to leave. They should now be shunned and sidelined in Westminster as UKIP should be in Brussels for the same reasons.

Cameron is offering a referendum on the EU and the abolition of the Human Rights Act. That's a good start. Slash the waste in the NHS and elsewhere in the public sector, cut taxes and you may be en route to convincing us that the true Conservative Party is on its way back. If the infantile left continue rioting and generally behaving like political misfits we will know that the government is doing a good job.

Why I Could Never Vote Labour

There has been an effort in the media to talk up the Labour candidate in my constituency which I find quite disturbing. I don't think I've ever linked to The Grauniad before but this article is  a must.

The constituency is Morecambe and Lunesdale, the candidate is Amina Lone. I have written before how she chooses to stay in Manchester where she lives and commutes each day to the constituency, about 3 hours driving a day. That doesn't imply commitment to the area or confidence in her victory. Will she still live in Manchester if elected?

She left home in Birmingham aged to go to London and was soon a single mother on benefits. She went on to have three more children by different fathers. She appears in the interview to blame the Tories for her predicament. By my reckoning she left home in 1989, in 1997 Blair was elected and she then had until 2010 under Labour. She made her own decisions, nobody forced her or anybody else onto benefits.

The article also claims that she spoke to a girl in Lancaster who had to give up work because she spent all her salary on bus fares. What?! You can get a bus from Lancaster to London for about £20.

She has also accepted £10 000 from Lord Oakeshott, a dodgy ex-Lib Dem peer involved in a donations scandal when a Lib Dem peer. She has also had a £1 000 donation from Blair.

Here is her profile on the constituency website. She claims to have run a campaign against poverty for twenty years, funded by taxpayers no doubt. Interesting then that she began her campaigning around 1995, so from 1997 to 2010 she was campaigning against poverty under a labour government.

She is proud to inform us that she is a graduate of Common Purpose (CP). CP is an organisation that provokes huge controversy. Conspiracy theorists claim it trains future leaders of the New World Order. I tend to think it is a highly politicised, internationalist organisation that trains public sector bureaucrats, civil servants (including senior police officers) and others in toeing the line and bleeding the taxpayers dry. I suggest you Google 'Common Purpose', have a nosey at their website and some of their opponents websites and make your own mind up.

Finally she has a tattoo on her arm of the anarchist logo, an 'A' in a circle, which seems to go down well in certain Labour circles who seem to think it gives her some street cred. The sad thing is she didn't realise what it was when had the tattoo, she just liked the design.

Amina Lone typifies the Labour/socialist mentality of abdicating personal responsibility. Blame everybody but yourself and expect hard working people to support your benefits lifestyle by thieving ever more from us in taxes. That's why I will never vote Labour.

General Election 2015-Morecambe and Lunesdale Constituency

In some ways this has been a highly tedious election campaign but in other ways I've quite enjoyed it.

It's the first election in decades that I haven't been involved, either as a candidate or campaign director/election agent. It felt strange at first but being a spectator gradually became very enjoyable, it has given me a chance to really see how much waffle candidates come out with. But, for all the waffle and playing it safe from the politicians, we have more access to information than ever via the internet so people have no excuse for not finding out who to vote for or not to vote for. Get off your bums, even now, and look on t'interweb you lazy gits!

Now then, I think I've decided who to vote for although over the length of this campaign I have 'floated' a few times, and there are still four days left. But here is my rationale on why I am voting as I am unless there is a major political earthquake between now and Thursday.

Green Party-No, I'm a grown up. Maybe if you like Russell Brand (aka 'Massive Twat') but want to ignore his advice to not vote then the Green Party will do for you.

 

Northern Party-No. Regionalisation/devolution will merely give us another costly layer of politicos and bureaucrats increasing our taxes and squandering our cash. For God's sake there arre states in the USA that are bigger than us and Westminster is only 4  hours or so from virtually anywhere in the UK, less by plane.

Liberal Democrats-No. I did British Government and Politics 'A'-Level and by my reckoning they are neither liberal nor democratic, they are social  democrat/authoritarians. Then there is Nick Clegg, Vince Cable et al. I needn't go on.

Labour-No. I did Economics 'O'-Level and while I'm not claiming to be an expert on the strength of that a quick look at the economic mess left behind by every previous Labour government does a job,  you don't have to be Keynes or Friedman. Then there is the Labour candidate who lives in Gorton, Manchester around 70 miles away.

UKIP. No. They used to be libertarian but are now one of the most authoritarian parties around. Yes I want out of Europe but voting UKIP in my constituency will not bring that about, it is probably going to let Labour in. Furthermore in previous elections we had at least one leaflet from UKIP, this time we have had none. If they can't be bothered then neither can I.

Conservative-Our local candidate, elected in 2010, is an idiot and widely ridiculed throughout the constituency by conservative minded people and opponents alike. But this is a marginal constituency and changed hands in 1997 and again in 2010. The prospect of Labour winning here fills me with horror so, reluctantly, I will hold my nose and vote Tory. If I help keep Miliband and the Scottish Nazionalists out then it will have been worth it. With our First Past the Post electoral system tactical voting is sometimes unavoidable.

General Election 2015-Morecambe and Lunesdale, Amina Lone, Labour Party

On April 10th I blogged about our declared candidates here in Morecambe and Lunesdale constituency and remarked how our Labour Party candidate lived around 70 miles away in Gorton, Manchester. It seems she has goofed by attacking the 'Tory' candidate for living outside the constituency, 50 yards outside.

This hypocrisy was picked up this week by the Daily Mail. What they didn't pick up on was the fact that Ms Lone represents Hulme ward on Manchester City Council. Hulme is around 5 miles from Gorton, so she doesn't even live in the ward she represents.

I wonder how many candidates claim to live locally when they mean within a few miles of their constituency/ward rather than in either?

Local champions they claim. I'd check if I were you.

General Election 2015-Green Party

I've honestly tried to take the Green Party seriously, but come on, their manifesto reads like a twelve year olds first effort at drawing up a manifesto for the school mock election. There must be a hell of a lot of people suffering Nutterly Bennett style 'brain fades' to have come up with that drivel.

Looking on the bright side Caroline Lucas is likely to hold on in Brighton, or 'Brain Fade Central', but elsewhere they are unlikely to win a seat. This is good because they are probably second only to the Scottish National Party in terms of hard core authoritarianism. Tie this with Nutterly Bennett offering to work with SNP MPs and there is potential for an alliance that would rival those cuddly chaps in North Korea. But thankfully the prospect of some kind of coalition involving the Greens and the SNP is about as likely as the Green Party manifesto being taken seriously.

So, if you fancy ending up living in a cave, trying to light a fire of twigs for some heat and light then vote Green.

General Election-Morecambe and Lunesdale Constituency

Nominations for the general election close on Thursday, if you are wondering who has declared already then click on this link to find the details of candidates in Morecambe and Lunesdale. If you live in another constituency follow the link and then search for your own.

There are many reasons why this election is so mind numbingly tedious, two of the main reasons are closely related, which comes first is debateable. In my view the first reason is that so many people think it's fine to merely abuse politicians and those working for political parties, be they paid or voluntary. The lazy assumption is that they are all in it for the money, or for sheer power and status. This leads to reasonable people increasingly withdrawing from political activity thus leaving politics in the hands of the few, often people who fall into the categories in my first point. It's been almost a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This means that we now have a breed of political activist, especially parliamentary candidates, who are incapable of serious political thought and blindly follow the leader or the party line. Anybody who slightly deviates from 'the message' is likely to be dumped pretty rapidly. This means that there is little serious debate on policy within the main political parties, policy development is done by specialist units of professional politicos behind closed doors in consultation with only the most senior people in the party.

I attended several Tory Party conferences in the 1980s and there were some really impressive policy debates, especially on the conference fringe and ordinary people, rightly or wrongly, felt that they had a voice and influence within the party, but couldn't initiate or change policy.

During the 1980s Labour Party members actually had the power to change policy at their party conferences. It was Neil Kinnock who started the castration of the Labour Party membership when fighting the threat from the militants/trade unions in the 1980s. Labour members now have as much  influence over policy as Conservative members, they can no longer change or initiate policy at their conference.

The main parties now look to the media and the professional think tanks to formulate policy, the wishes of the electorate come way, way down their list of priorities. The EU, capital punishment and immigration are three main areas that highlight how the electorate has been ignored. Poll after poll suggests that over many years the populace has been ignored on these issues. The establishment has taken the view that it knows best.

We now have, thanks to political correctness, the tyranny of the minorities which has been extremely divisive and has fractured social cohesion. This is almost exclusively down to the left and the Labour Party. From 1997 to 2010 Labour had an open door immigration policy which has led to huge social problems, especially in our major cities. Labour/socialists then tell numerous ethnic groups that they are under threat from evil fascists but they will defend them. Guess who said ethnic minorities then support and vote for?

The Labour/socialists have done the same with gays, women, the disabled and any number of other  groups which has led to women only shortlists for parliament and quotas/targets in the workplace and education for assorted minorities. There has been a black lad on the TV news this morning claiming that he wouldn't be voting in the election because there weren't enough black and/or working class candidates. That always makes me wonder what black MPs would do that a white MP wouldn't? What would a working class MP do that a middle class MP wouldn't? Personally I just want the best MP for the job, if that's a black working class woman fine by me. If it's a white, working class gay bloke then fine, I don't care as long as they can do the job.

So to Morecambe and Lunesdale constituency and we hardly have an inspiring group of candidates up to now for the election. We have a sitting MP who seems to have alienated just about every person of a conservative persuasion that I know, more a lap dog for Cameron than a free thinking, get up and at 'em politician.

The Labour candidate is a councillor in Hulme, Manchester but bizarrely described as a 'local champion' on her election material. She also claims to have been running an anti-poverty campaign for twenty years, so for fifteen years she was fighting poverty under a Labour government, rather bizarre too. She also describes herself as a 'Common Purpose graduate'. I find Common Purpose an unpleasant  and worryingly influential organisation but don't subscribe to the wackier conspiracy theories about it that abound on the internet. I'll leave it for you to find out for yourself, there is lots about them on the internet.

So there we have it. Oh yes, sorry I forgot, we also have a Green Party candidate but suspect the people of this constituency are too sane to waste many votes on him, and we have a typically bland Liberal Democrat, neither of them have bothered with  a leaflet yet. We also have a UKIP candidate and I've heard there is a Northern Party candidate, a party of which I know little other than they sound like the bastard offspring of the Greens and Labour with an odd Tory cobbed in for good measure.

It's not an inspiring election, and our choice of candidates at the moment is even less inspiring. Still, two days yet to close of nominations and who knows who might pop up by Thursday.

2015, Election Year

Having suffered four years of wishy washy, wet government May 2015 gives us the chance to bin the coalition of cheats, thieves and liars. Or does it? Maybe the electorate gets what it deserves and next year's general election will punish us with a bunch of similar, maybe even worse misfits taking power than this lot.

Let's face it political correctness, that strange form of mental illness, continues to devour what's left of freedom and democracy and brands commonsense policies dangerous at best, evil at worst. Dare to call for controlled immigration and you are branded an evil racist.

A fine recent example of hysterical PC branding was when US commentator Rush Limbaugh asserted that James Bond should not be played by a black actor on the grounds that Ian Fleming created Bond as the son of a Scottish father and French Swiss mother. Of course the shit hit the fan and he, and others, were pilloried for such evil racism. I suppose, therefore, that we will soon see Russell Brand playing the lead role in a bio pic of Nelson Mandela's life.

Don't agree with gay marriage? Many of us have been branded evil homophobes for daring to question the idea of gay marriage. I don't have a problem with gay couples having all the legal rights that heterosexual couples have. I don't have a problem with civil partnerships. I just believe that marriage is, and should remain, the joining together of a man and a woman. Call me old fashioned but do not brand me homophobic, because I'm not.

Dare to comment on the stonings, beheadings, crucifications and more carried out by muslims and you are branded an Islamphobe. The apologists for Islam claim that it is a peaceful religion full of joy and goodness. Well maybe ISIS are rogues but look at any muslim state and tell me you, especially if you are a woman, would like to go and live there. Public executions, often shown on TV? Women arrested for driving? Women stoned to death for adultery or even for being raped? Homosexuals thrown in jail or facing death? Under sharia law only the males in a family can inherit? These things don't strike me as being compatible with liberal western values. But dare criticise and all those politically correct liberals who want their version of 'equality' imposed on us suddenly defend the polar opposite of what they preach to us and brand you an Islamophobe.

The politically correct loathe British people who live in France, Spain and other countries but maintain a British way of life, eating British food, shopping in British shops, playing cricket and bowls and so on. Little Englanders who should integrate cry the politically correct.

Visit a typical British city and you often find yourself in huge areas that resemble Delhi, Istanbul, Cyprus or Lahore. Wonderful examples of diversity and multiculturalism cry the politically correct.

The central element of political correctness is self-loathing. A loathing of British culture. A loathing of British history. A loathing of the British way of life. A loathing of British people. A loathing of our political system. Foreigners are so much friendlier. Foreign cultures are so much more vibrant. It is a form of mental illness involving self harm. An individual suffering this form of illness would be offered treatment.

Against this backdrop it is no wonder that next year's general election is unlikely to offer us a serious option for change. They are all scared that the media and the metropolitan elite will brand them evil extremists if they dare say anything that could be branded politically incorrect.

At one time politicians had beliefs. Does anybody know what any of our senior politicians actually believe today? At one time our politicians used to listen to the electorate. Now, because they have been so neutered by political correctness, they daren't listen to the public.

So who is really to blame for this mess? Senior politicians? Yes. One thing that would make 2015 a wonderful year would be to see the Chilcot Report published and Tony Blair hauled off to The Hague on war crimes charges. That's just for starters.

The politically correct? Of course they are to blame. In another era they would have been labelled Quislings, and quite rightly so.

But when apportioning blame the 'anti-politicians' must carry a huge burden of guilt. I mean those people who sit on their bums slagging off anybody involved in politics, be they a volunteer leafleter or an MP, just for the fact that they are involved in politics. The advent of the internet has made this problem even worse with the appearance of the keyboard warrior, who has all the answers, usually idiotically simplistic answers, but still sits on his fat arse doing nothing constructive  but slagging off those who actually stick their heads above the parapet and try to change things. The 'anti-politicians' do more than anybody else to drive people away from politics thus leaving political parties in the hands of an ever dwindling band of misfits.

For the first time in decades I won't be involved in the next election in any way, a combination of disenchantment and finding that trying to engage the average voter is like trying to raise the dead. An utter, demoralising waste of time. I doubt I'll even be voting in May 2015, for the first time since the local elections in 1980, although I spoilt my European ballot paper in 1979.

So, if you vote just for the sake of voting, even though you don't agree with any of them, don't complain when you get a government you don't like or that you accuse of not listening. You voted for them.

Before you slag me off I spent around 35 years trying to make a difference, but when banging your head against a wall gets really painful you stop. Think you could do more and better? Then get off your lazy arse, leave your keyboard alone and get involved.

To those who are still motivated enough to plod the streets knocking on doors on behalf of a candidate, stuffing envelopes in a draughty campaign office or sticking their heads above the parapet to actually stand for parliament I wish you luck, and the New Year you deserve.

Elections, Lies and Propoganda

 

It's started even earlier than the build up to Christmas this general election campaign. Problem is I can just about put up with Christmas decorations  going up in September because I love Christmas, but lying scheming politicians trying to buy my vote is another thing.

David Cameron's Tories started the ball rolling pretending they had got the EU to back off stealing even more of our money. They lied.

Then Cameron starts talking like a Eurosceptic. He tried that one before the 2010 election. He lied then and he's lying now.

Cameron talked about slashing immigration before the 2010 election. It's got even worse with around 250,000 a year joining us. Guess what? He's talking tough on immigration  yet again. But we all know that as long as we are in the EU he can do nothing about it. He's lying again.

Miliband's shower of shysters are dangling an extra £2b for the NHS to try and buy us off. Well tell you what Burnham, cut the huge amount of waste in the NHS, cut the huge salaries of senior staff, make the whole damn thing more efficient then I might be able to bear you taking my hard earned cash and spending it buying votes. Problem is government has no money, it's our money they blow.

Then you get Labour's pathetic constant cry that the Tories will privatise the NHS. It's lies. I remember Labour saying that in '74 and it still hasn't happened, they haven't got the balls. If the NHS really was the envy of the world it wouldn't be an exclusively British institution, they'd all be doing it. I would actually vote Tory if they did promise to privatise it. We can hardly despise politicians then let them take charge of our healthcare and expect it to work. Imagine how bad beer would be and cars would be if those industries were run by the state. Not a nice thought.

Then there's Nick Clegg's gang of misfits. Now stop tittering, it's cruel. I don't even know what, if anything, Lib Dems believe in any more. They're clearly finished, thankfully.

But brace yourself, there will be constant shit storm of lies and promises that will be broken between now and the election in May. It's going to get worse.

General Election 2015

Nigel 'Mine's A Pint' Farage

British politics is a shambolic mess. I am sick of receiving surveys on social media from Cameron asking my views on immigration, welfare and so on. What do you actually believe Cameron? I suspect the answer is nothing, so he is trying to merely mirror back to us what we believe. That is cheap and shallow and is another reason I won't be voting Conservative next year. The main reason I am not is because I happen to have, in David Morris, probably the most lightweight, shallow, sycophantic little turd to have been elected a Conservative MP. A poor mans' David Cameron I suppose.

I don't have the time to chronicle all the reasons why I, like anybody with half a brain, can't vote Labour. If I just mention bankrupting the country whenever they are in government, limitless immigration and multiculturalism then I think that will suffice for now. Oh yes, and taxing us hard working people 'til the pips squeak' to buy the votes of idle, feckless welfare scroungers who choose not to work.

Why I can't vote Liberal Democrat. Because they're a gang of unprincipled, snivelling opportunists who couldn't run a bath let alone a council or government. I'd rather shoot myself in the temple.

So who does that leave? Well some people seem to be falling for the UKIP illusion. Problem is UKIP are like a rather attractive shop window display, but when you walk into the shop it is completely empty, bereft of any goods let alone decent quality goods.

This weekend they made a cheap play for Labour votes by promising to raise VAT on luxury goods so that the rich are squeezed. They don't seem to understand that VAT at 20%  means that if you pay £50,000 for a car you already pay more in tax than if you buy a £10,000 car. A cheap shot by Comrade Farage and co if ever I saw one, prostituting themselves for the votes of a few class warriors.

Like the other parties UKIP is prepared to swap policies when it suits if it buys them a little short-term gain. In fact, looking at their 'ban the burka no we won't' policy change they are looking ever more like the Lib Dems, the biggest whores on the political block.

It seems that UKIP, despite claiming to be a libertarian party, stand for big state and high taxes. Having said that they have yet to come out with cogent policies that can be funded without tax hikes, they never have and I suspect they never will. Even this weekend they were unable to come up with a united response to airstrikes on IS/ISIS/ISIL with some senior figures saying they did support airstrikes others claiming they didn't.

To confirm the claims of the Tories that a vote for UKIP would put Miliband in No 10 UKIP have announced that, assuming they win seats at the general election, they would be prepared to go into coalition with Labour if Miliband promises and EU referendum.

Then you have Nigel Farage, probably slimier than Cameron and Clegg put together. But I've said enough about Farage elsewhere so that's it.

The Green Party? I'm not even going to waste space on that bunch of eco muppets.

The English Democrats? At first sight, and I've only looked at them briefly, they appear to have a strong authoritarian streak. But I intend to take a closer look just in case.

My conclusion is that it's looking increasingly like I'll be spoiling my ballot paper next year. I'm no longer prepared to vote the best of a bad bunch. If there's nobody worth voting for my conscious dictates that I won't vote

Nick Clegg-The Breakup of the UK?

The more I see of Nick Clegg the more I dislike him. It's ironic that a TV journalist referred to him as Nick Cameron this morning, the only argument is which of the two is most vacuous. Cameron and Clegg become ever more like Ant and Dec, except Ant and Dec have some talent.

One of the arguments used by critics of PR is that it leads to coalition/weak government and months of backroom dealing after elections to agree on the weak government. Do they mean like this we are suffering at the moment? The sight of a loser like Clegg, leading a party that lost seats at the election, sanctimoniously lecturing us, the electors, on what he intends to do for our good makes me extremely pissed off and angry.

This the party that says, in rural constituencies that they oppose the hunting ban, and in urbans that they support it. The party that was desperate to join the Euro on day one, until the shit hit the fan. Now they claim to only want to join 'if the circumstances are right'. The party that wants to give an amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants. The party whose leader, before the election, declared himself and his party not to be kingmakers, we were the kingmakers he said. Then get talking to the Tories and nobody else you bloody hypocrite. Whatever the outcome I suspect we will be in just as much shit as we were under Brown. Except the scummy Lib Dems will be strutting about like political peaccocks.

But if the Lib Dems were megalomaniac enough to form some kind of alliance with Labour and the Celtic Fringe we could kiss the UK goodbye. We English have tolerated and overindulged the Welsh, Scots and Irish for too long. For the English, who have overwhelmingly voted Conservative yet again, to have a ragtag army of losers like that lording it over us would surely be the final straw. Blair's devolution began the process of break up, that would surely light the blue touchpaper of English nationalism and see the English finally say enough is enough, let's go it alone.

Putting UKIP In Perspective

UKIP just don't understand politics. They constantly whine about not getting a fair crack of the whip, then go out of their way to alienate the media and the public.

The disastrous Lord Pearson thinks that as leader, he should be on Thursday night's leadership debate with the old three party leaders. He really is certifiable and should be kept well clear of the public, let alone the media.

Last June Paul Nuttall, when elected MEP in the North West, flounced off the platform rather than share it with Nick Griffin of the BNP, who had also been democratically elected to the European Parliament.

Next Fred McGlade throws a tantrum and refuses to join a hustings meeting in Lancaster on behalf of UKIP because the BNP have not been invited.

Tonight, here in Birmingham, I have started watching the BBC regional election debate. Guess what? UKIP are boycotting because they are not being given 'equality' with the old three party representatives. They don't want to sit with the other parties who have no MPs so haven't bothered.

Last night we had a hustings meeting in Meriden constituency with over 200 attending. Where was the UKIP candidate? Nowhere to be seen, maybe washing his masturbation t-shirt, I don't know.

Maybe they are already preparing excuses for bombing yet again in UK elections. But when they blame the media look at their media stupidity.

It's been a long hard day slogging the streets of Meriden, but really worthwhile. The response to Nikki has been fantastic.

Last night we were at a hustings in Knowle, in the southern part of the constituency, where there must have been over 200 people present. The BNP candidate was thick, the Green candidate very pleasant, but 'dippy' might be the best word to describe her, and the Lib Dem was decidedly lacklustre. Nikki did very well and was well received on all issues.

Today has been in the northern half of the constituency slogging around estates and in and out of blocks of flats. But again the response has been fantastic, so much so that Nikki is quoted on Ladbrokes at 50-1 with Labour on 20-1. Sadly the Tories are still way ahead as odds on favourites. The BNP and UKIP are stuck on 100-1 alongside the Greens.

Despite all this foot slogging I suspect there will be little weight loss with full English breakfasts every morning and a chicken Madras every night.

Libertarian Party Endorses Nikki Sinclaire in Meriden

I am pleased to say that the Libertarian Party has endorsed Nikki's campaign here in Meriden. Over a pleasant lunch Nikki and I met the LPUK's Deputy Leader and had a very interesting meeting.

As a libertarian Nikki found it impossible to remain a part of UKIP's grouping in the EU parliament, which largely consists of right-wing authoritarians and assorted oddballs. In standing up and being counted, not wishing to be associated with homophobes, Holocaust deniers and anti-Semites, Nikki had the UKIP whip withdrawn. She has since been undemocratically run out of UKIP and is standing in Meriden as an independent under the banner of the Solihull and Meriden Residents Association.

General Election-Campaigning with Nikki Sinclaire in Meriden

Blogging will be light for the next couple of weeks as I will be working hard with a great team on Nikki Sinclaire's campaign in Meriden. To give you a flavour here am I (the porky one) campaigning with Nikki, Josh and others in Solihull Town Centre on Saturday.

And Gary has discovered the best curry house in England to sustain us after a hard day's campaigning.

General Election

Here was me thinking I would be having a nice quiet general election when the phone rings. As a consequence I am now sat in an office in Birmingham working as agent for general election candidate Nikki Sinclaire who is an independent MEP standing in the Meriden constituency on the SAMRA ticket.

Shame she's not standing in Morecambe and Lunesdale, I might have been able to vote for somebody then. As it is it looks like I won't be able to bring myself to support any of the misfits I am currently aware of, Tory, Labour, Lib-Dims, Greens and UKIP in my constituency, so will be spoiling my ballot paper.

Broken Britain?

A young slapper called Ellie Gellard has been in the news this week, goes to show what a useless bunch of prats our politicians are if that pathetic little attention seeker gets national publicity. But for some bizarre reason Gordon Brown had her sat next to him at their manifesto launch, despite her calling for him to resign not too long ago. Maybe he was right not to listen to a 20 year old idiot who thinks Britain isn't 'broken'. But why have her sat up there on the podium? Because Gordon the Moron is desperate and wants to show how they all love him really, and he has united them.

In fact that summarises nicely British politics at the moment. What can you say when a nothing like Vince Cable is about to be sainted as some kind of financial and economic messiah? Maybe even Chancellor of the Exchequer if we have a hung parliament after May 6th? That really would be time to shift all your savings and other assets safely away to Zimbabwe for example!

Yesterday I was off the campaign trail on family business in East Manchester. In the area now called Eastlands, much to the annoyance of locals born and raised in Miles Platting and Bradford, the council estates built in the 1960s are being demolished. Those who bought under Right to Buy are now having their homes compulsorily purchased way below market value. Many of the deck access flats built in Hulme, Ardwick and Beswick in the 1960s have already long since been demolished. Communities were wrecked to make way for those developments, and now they are being split asunder yet again. And Labour talk of 'community'. They are the wreckers of communities.

A huge model comprehensive was built in Gorton in the 1960s. Now demolished and rebuilt. A Catholic secondary school was built in Gorton in the 1970s. Now demolished and rebuilt. A school for people with 'learning disabilities' was built in Gorton in the late 1970s/early 1980s. Now demolished but not rebuilt. A school built in the 1920s in Gorton, and extended only a few years ago, is about to be demolished and has been rebuilt a few hundred yards away. Another school built in Gorton in the 1970s has been demolished and not rebuilt.

One day we will find out financial the cost of all that nonsense. The social cost of our appalling governments, and I'm going back to before 1997, we can see all around us. The country is in such a mess that I find it increasingly difficult to regard myself as patriotic. It is not just the politicians to blame, the vast majority of the population have sat on their fat lazy arses, waddling away from Coronation Street only to pay homage at the new cathedrals to consumerism and greed such as the Trafford Centre, the Metro Centre or Meadowhall. Then back home to slump in front of their TVs with a bargain bucket of KFC to watch and learn from the Jeremy Kyle Show or Tricia Goddard. Meanwhile the country goes down the pan.

Yesterday I read about an 'ex-soldier' who got £100,000 compensation from the British Army because she couldn't get childcare, being a single mother, so went AWOL.

Then I read how to 'earn' £42,000 a year as a parasite sponging off the taxpayer. No, not by becoming an MP or an MEP, they get even more, this is the story of a family on Anglesey. The father realised he would be better off packing in work and sponging off us. So that's what he has been doing for years. They are now whining about needing a bigger house, paid for by the taxpayer, because the misfits are producing another little parasite to bleed off us.

Don't tell me that the Tories would do any better, they never have, although Margaret Thatcher did a great deal of what was needed, but not quite enough, from 1979 to 1990. Yes, you socialist misfits, she did leave Downing Street 20 years ago so stop obsessing about her. Bloody hell, in 1965 the country had long stopped blaming the Germans for everything and look at the mess they really did create 20 to 30 years earlier!

The Lib-Dems? Don't make me laugh, that shower are so firmly sat on the fence their arses are full of splinters.

UKIP? Do me a favour. Build more prisons is about all they can offer, apart from getting out of Europe. Tell you what, stop slamming people in clink for ridiculous offences and you might be surprised how many prison places you freed up. And don't tell us you are going to slash taxes and massively increase spending. We're not all stupid.

BNP? Let's be serious.

So that leaves the only socialist party fighting the election, the Green Party. I'd have more respect for them if they were honest about their extreme left-wing socialism, instead they disguise it behind claiming we are all about to drown under a melting ice cap if Caroline Lucas doesn't get elected in Brighton. Up against that wall you lot....

What a mess. And I haven't even started on Elizabeth Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha and her bunch of misfits. How apt that we have the matriarch of the most dysfunctional family in the world on the throne. Actually Ellie Gellard does have a look of Phil the Greek about her.

General Election-A Sham

It's been a phoney war for months and now it's here. But, assuming a few people bother to go out and vote on May 6th, will we get the government we vote for? I would say no.

In the last election Labour got 36.91% of the popular vote, Conservatives 33.86% and the Lib-Dems got 23.09%.

That resulted in Labour getting 356 seats (55.11%), Conservatives 198 seats (30.65%) and the Lib-Dems 62 seats (9.60%)

In this day and age that doesn't seem fair to me, and that's without looking at the smaller parties.

Nick Clegg's Wife

This is an interesting article.

Nick Clegg's wife saying, to a journalist, how she will stay in the background during the general election campaign and concentrate on her children and her job.

Can't imagine how the three pictures of her got into the piece, especially the one of them both having a brew and reading the Times at their kitchen table and the one of them kissing their new born baby.

A bit of advice though. With her Spanish accent I'd keep her away from your Sheffield constituency Mr Clegg, Yorkies aren't very bright and might think you've married a Lancastrian.

But I do like the names they have given their children. Antonio Clegg, Alberto Clegg and Miguel Clegg. They could write at least three hilarious episodes of Last of the Summer Wine with material like that.

Oh aye Mrs Clegg, you're doing right staying in the background.

If you don't know Nick Clegg is the leader of the Liberal Democrats. He's the one you'll see occasionally on TV as the general election campaign lifts off. But don't confuse him with David Cameron, he's the other one. I suppose they are a bit like Ant and Dec really, which one's Dave which one's Nick?

General Election Nutjob Alert-Egality!

As the general election creeps closer more nutters and psychos are crawling out from under their stones. The one I heard about on the radio today is a bunch of deluded misfits called Egality. Here is what they say about their latest loonytunes idea:

"Empowering people in the UK and abroad to directly challenge our unequal world, here and now, by sharing one of our most valuable political rights – the right to vote".

They think that global warming affecting Bangladesh, farmers being shafted in Ghana and the war in Afghanistan are so important that people in those countries should have a vote in our general election. They want you and me to register, and to vote on May 6th, the way some similar lunatic nutjob in one of those countries asks us to.

So stuff voting on ID cards and the police state, schools and education, hospitals and the NHS and so on. No, they want a pissed off farmer in Ghana to vote for you thus practising his new found 'right to vote' by depriving you of yours. I suspect the people at Egality just don't understand democracy.
