We are human beings and often make decisions based on, or strongly influenced by, emotion and feelings. But there seems to be an increasing lack of reason and logic in public debate and in public life generally. Increasingly there seems to be a frightening move towards feelings and emotion actually trumping reason and logic.
Yesterday we went to toast our local hunt as they set off on their day's sport. Since 2005 hunting foxes with hounds has been illegal so yesterday the hunt consisted of riders on horses with hounds spending the day following a scent trail across private land where the landowners had given their permission for the hunt to ride. The irony is that since the hunting ban in 2005 more foxes have been killed each year as farmers use more efficient ways of protecting their stock from the fox. The anti-hunt brigade are more driven by hatred of the type of people they think hunt than any welfare concerns for foxes. It is a victory of emotion and feeling, or prejudice and bigotry, over logic and reason.
Somebody on social media attacked me yesterday, in the most irrational and hate filled way, for attending the hunt. When I explained what I have explained above her response was to claim that may be the case but what if the dogs picked up the scent of a fox? Well the hunt pledge to take all measures to avoid that scenario which, to be honest, is a bit like telling me I'm wicked for driving a car because I might have an accident. She then made it perfectly clear that she was actually driven by an irrational hatred of the type of people she thinks ride horses and hunt. She then decided to seek out my wife and started to harass her on social media proving herself to be nothing but a bitter and twisted hate filled bigot.
To book end this example of irrational behaviour we've had an announcement this week that the state is having to take measures to protect free speech in British universities. Cultural Marxism, or political correctness, has pervaded our national life for decades now, it is just as vile as any form of socialism just a little more subtle and slow burning but equally destructive. Our education system and churches are some of the worst offenders, eagerly trying to prove their PC credentials by doing the dirty work of the far left PC brigade for them. Virtue signalling social justice warriors (aka snowflakes) are the absolute curse of the twenty-first century.
For a few years now campaigners, including the Archbishop of Canterbury, have been trying to get books banned from British universities, indeed even The Guardian, that bastion of irrational liberalism and fake news, has felt it necessary to fight this attack on freedom in several issues. After all, when the mob starts banning books and anything else they deem to be 'offensive' who says somebody won't decide it's you and your opinions next?
That British universities have to be forced to stop banning people who they disapprove of from speaking and from banning books they disapprove of is highly concerning and should worry everybody who believes in freedom, rationality and logic. If these snowflakes are so upset and scared of people with alternative philosophies and ideologies then why are they at university at all? Isn't university supposed to be about having your ideals and beliefs challenged? Isn't it about learning how to face people you disagree with or disapprove of and dismantling their arguments using logic and reason.
It seems that today's students lack the confidence and intellect to face the real world and need to run and hide in a safe space. Hardly good preparation for the rigours of the real world.

The Infantilisation of a Nation
If it wasn't so sad it would be hilarious. I've been mulling over this post for days and days and every time I think I'll start it another example of infantilisation pops up. Every day there seems to be another group popping up crying and angered by somebody criticising them and wanting their critics banned or hung drawn and quartered.
Unless you've just come out of a very long coma you'll be aware that David Cameron invested in his deceased father's offshore company, sold his shares and paid tax to HMRC on the profit. Perfectly legal but the emotionally incontinent leftards went into meltdown and cried and wailed, as they do, for him to resign. What he did was perfectly legal so why resign? Not very bright are they?
So, for the leftards who love to cry 'rich bastard' at anybody with a few bob more than them, often because they're a little brighter, here it is in simple language. A company is set up in Panama, could be Jersey, Isle of Man or any other low tax state. Said company then invests in businesses all over the world. When it invests in the USA for example it pays relevant taxes and duty in the USA on that part of the business. When the profits are back in Panama the Panamanian government decides what taxes etc, if any, are due. If they decide zero tax is due then it's their business, not a bunch of screaming economically challenged leftards frothing at the mouth and waving juvenile placards in Whitehall. When profits from said investment are sent to the investor in the UK then that money becomes liable to HMRC taxes and duty. David Cameron paid all his tax. There, it really is that simple. If you are still struggling ignore the term 'tax haven' and instead think of these places as low tax economies because that's what they are really, just states that have lower taxes than others, in some cases none. A bit like ISAs but on a bigger scale.
Of course that simple explanation won't do for the envious bigots who just shout 'rich bastard' at anybody with more money than them because they are basically imbeciles who have been infantilised by socialism. So let's move onto the other things that have been proving how infantilised the populace has become.
Germaine Greer is in the shit again, this time in Australia. She had the audacity to question transgenderism last year saying "just because you lop off your penis...it doesn't make you a woman". A pretty reasonable thing to say I would have thought. But this week she tried to retreat because of the shitstorm fired at her for being honest and said that transgendered people couldn't know they were a woman in a man's body because "you don't know what the other sex is". Cue another shitstorm heading her way.
I don't care if somebody has a sex change, it's up to them what they do to their body. But I must have the right to believe and say that in my view it is the ultimate act of self harm and that if you are born a man you die a man, just with a bit less if you get my meaning. But in the current climate going against the politically correct orthodoxy will have the infantilised leftards wanting to have you imprisoned or hung, drawn and quartered alongside the tax efficient investors.
Then there is the European Union in/out referendum. I saw a debate on TV where several under eighteens were arguing that they should have a vote in the referendum on June 23rd. The consensus view appeared to be that politicians and political parties don't do enough to engage young people. What do they want? A free lolly if they join a party? Get off your lazy little arses, get off your keyboards and get involved. Don't wait for it to happen you infantile little turds, make it happen. Most political parties are so small in numbers these days that a few young people, with a few brain cells and a bit of effort, could probably take over the local branch of their party without much trouble. To be honest if they can't get off their fat arses and get involved why should they have the vote? Actually, that applies to millions of people, not just the under eighteens. Which brings me onto another aspect of the EU referendum.
It's 2016. There is the internet which means you can research virtually anything, within reason or not if you take a chance, from the comfort of your own living room. There is 24 hour news on the TV and radio. You can lie in bed in the morning and have as many newspapers and magazines delivered to your kindle as you want and not have to crawl out of your pit to go to the paper shop. Over the next few weeks you will have any number of leaflets pushed through your door by the Remain/Leave campaigns. The government has just spent £9m of our taxes on a propaganda sheet that is full of crap. All this yet I have lost count of the number of infantilised zombies who have complained that they don't understand the issues or just don't know enough to vote. As above, get off your lazy arses and find out for yourselves.
I've even heard one bloke, who I regard as pretty intelligent, complaining that there was too much information from both sides and that an independent body should be set up to look at all the information and then decide whether we stay in or leave. Honestly, that is the truth.
The Soviet Union infantilised its population making its citzens totally dependent on the state, to such a degree that the suicide rate soared after the fall of communism and people had to make decisions for themselves. I think we could be well on that slippery slope now.
Time to end on a lighter note:

We Are All Scum
Political correctness has created a vile streak of self loathing in certain sections of society and it's being propagated, in no small part, by the education system. If we had kids of school age I would be loathe to send them to state schools which increasingly appear to be nothing more than state indoctrination centres. Last week a teenage lad was reported to the police because he looked at the UK Independence Party website as part of a project on migration. That is nothing less than totalitarian bollocks and the school should be closed down and the staff involved barred from ever going near children again, either professionally or otherwise. If they have children they should be taken from them and adopted by reasonable, tolerant people.
Recently in Rochdale an imam was murdered. The powers that be and the media immediately called for calm among the large muslim population of the town in the light of an act of obviously islamophobic murder by a white, right wing extremist. It was obvious wasn't it? It has now been quietly released that Mohammed Hussain Syeedy has been charged with his murder.
There has been a lot of coverage this last week or two about the sentencing of a paedophile ring in Rotherham. Throughout the BBC coverage the word 'muslim' hasn't been used once in either reports or interviews about the case. I suppose, although there is a pattern of paedophilia in towns with large muslim populations, that to state it would be racist or, God forbid, islamophobic.
Now I'm as broadminded as the next bloke so if a bloke wants to indulge in the ultimate act of self mutilation and chop his penis off then grow a pair of chemically induced breasts then that's his business. But I have the right to question it and profess disapproval if I wish. According to the trainee fascists (aka students, see first paragraph) of York University that would make me 'transphobic' (click on link ). You see in the new politically correct fascist era to question any current orthodoxy makes you a phobic. Question open borders? Xenophobe. Don't approve of gay marriage? Homophobe. Not keen on islam? Islamophobe. Here's a new one: Don't approve of political correctness? Twatophobe.
Then there is Greg Dyke chairman of the English Football Association. Last week he was again banging on about needing more ethnic minorities involved in senior positions in the FA. Why? Why do governing bodies of anything have to be a cross representation of society? Do people who are not white automatically think differently to white people? I don't think so. I've seen many top class football teams in England with a disproportionately high percentage of non-white players. It doesn't bother me. It only ever seems to be white, middle class pinko liberals who obsess about race any more. Back in the 1970s there were virtually no black players in English football, today there are countless. Black players are not in teams because of positive discrimination, they are there on merit. If the do gooders left us all alone and stopped banging on about race we would all rub along very nicely thank you very much. So piss off and leave us alone.
I can't help but conclude that the politically correct, in their arrogant, patronising way regard those of us who are normal as scum, just waiting to be phobic or guilty of an ism. Well we're not and won't go along with your vile indoctrination.

Don't Look Back In Anger

| New Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn |
Corbyn's election was greeted by the delusional left as a "breath of fresh air" and the election of an "anti-politician leader". The reality is that Corbyn has the distinctive stench of the particularly vile brand of left-wing politics that brought this country to its knees in the 1970s. Most people mature over several decades, Corbyn is stuck in the past, preserved in aspic. He is of the deeply patronising class warrior persuasion while coming from a very comfortable middle class background. Ever heard a Bob Dylan song "The Times They are A'Changing" Jezza?
As for him being the anti-politician, man of the people confronting all those career politicians, don't make me laugh. Despite going to a very good grammar school Jezza bypassed higher education and went to work first as a trade union official, then for the Labour Party. He was elected to represent Islington in 1983. Hardly a solid grounding in the real world of work and life. Since then, until being elected leader, he had never been trusted by his party in any other position than backbench loose cannon. Since 1983 he has voted consistently against his own party, but now demands loyalty from his parliamentary colleagues.
Then we saw Frau Merkel, stern dominatrix of the German volk, inviting the world's poor, oppressed and hate filled jihadis into Europe, no questions asked. This open door policy has seen over 1,000,000 people invading Europe, clearly the most irresponsible move by a senior European politician this century. I wrote about our experiences travelling with illegal immigrants from Austria to Germany before so, rather than bore you, just clink on this link if you care to read it.
Since then we have seen migrants fighting each other, radicalising migrants already here and seen a rise in far right parties across Europe as populations become ever angrier at being consistently ignored by the establishment of country after country. I will not go on about this as I wrote about my views on the subject in this post.
Underpinning the constant undermining of our way of life is political correctness, a form of intellectual imprisonment that suppresses freedom by accusing those opposing certain policies of being 'offensive' or guilty of an 'ism'. A couple of big examples in recent weeks have brought the nonsense of political correctness into sharp focus.
Donald Trump is running for the Republican Party nomination in the US presidential election. Unlike career politicians Trump sees muslims slaughtering people all over the world and does not pretend that this has nothing to do with Islam, it clearly does. When one of the San Bernardino murderers was found to have gone through the US vetting system, without her easily traceable radicalisation in Pakistan being flagged up, he called for a temporary halt to muslims entering the US until the system was reviewed and reformed to prevent this happening again. The politically correct immediately screamed racism (despite Islam being a religion) and 500,000 of the emotionally incontinent in the UK signed a petition condemning his call to ban anybody entering any country by calling for Trump to be banned from entering the UK. But that's lefties for you, hypocrites to a man.
Meanwhile Oxford University's Oriel College is under siege from the terminally offended for having a statue to nineteenth century imperialist and entrepreneur Sir Cecil Rhodes. They claim the statue could somehow offend black students because of Rhodes' work in southern Africa. This is supposed to be one of the world's finest universities but the students, and some academics, are behaving like tyrannical Stalinist madmen who think that removing statues removes history. Well it doesn't and why would rational, thinking human beings want to? It shows how inadequate and second rate our education system is now.
Tell you what, a real way to attack Rhodes would be for all those people now attacking, from all ethnic backgrounds, who have gained degrees supported financially by Rhodes Scholarships to hand back their degrees and repay the Rhodes money they were happy to take. But don't hold your breath.
So best wishes to all and I hope you have a happy and prosperous 2016. Attack political correctness wherever rears its ugly head and stay rational.

Bread and Circuses-UK 2015
There comes a time when great civilisations come to an end, and I doubt it's ever pretty for those involved. It feels ever more like our civilisation is crumbling, maybe it deserves to and certainly the politically correct left are hellbent on hastening our demise as has always been their aim.
For me the rot set in during the 1960s. That decade bred an attitude of self, self, self. An attitude of I want so I will have and sod the consequences for society. That blighted decade led directly to abortion on demand. It led to the breakdown of the traditional family. It led to the kind of welfare system that pays people to claim rather than work, and for women to breed with or without a husband knowing that the state (the rest of us) will pick up the bill.
We now live in a society where a man can decide he's a woman and have the operation, estimated cost £30,000 and the rest of us pay the bill. The NHS in crisis? Well stop spending money on that kind of thing and other vanity treatments. If they really want to mutilate their bodies in that way then let them pay to have it done privately. I have no problem if that's what they want to do with their bodies but don't expect me to regard them as women any more than I would regard a man on all fours trolling around barking to have suddenly become a dog.
These people on the fringe plead tolerance and acceptance of their lifestyle choices, but God help anybody who dissents then you find that their belief in freedom and tolerance suddenly evaporates. Witness Germaine Greer last week facing the wrath of the politically correct Stasi for daring to question aspects of transsexuality. Cardiff University appears to harbour groups of students dedicated to killing free speech and policing thought, which is no surprise to many people who have long believed our education system to be nothing more than a brainwashing factory controlled by the politically correct to promote their own agenda and crush anybody daring to think differently.
Then you look at the TV schedules and it is quite shocking. In centuries gone by people who were different from the norm were paraded around the streets for the entertainment of the general populace, John Merrick, the Elephant Man being one. On April 1st the mentally ill were released from Bedlam for the day to be goaded and ridiculed by the general populace. This kind of thing was ended years ago, or so I thought.
But no, our TV schedules are full of it. There are programmes about the ugliest people dating each other. The fattest people looking for friendship and love. The tiniest most deformed people trying to find partners. These programmes are not informative or educational, they are modern day freak shows. Animals are no longer allowed to perform in most circuses but we can parade humans on TV for the general populace to gawp at and get some strange kind of pleasure from.
I began this post blaming the me, me, me decade of the '60s with it's so called liberation challenging of the norms of society. What it actually did was lead to people wanting to do whatever they wanted while abrogating personal responsibility. Screw up? Somebody else will pick up the pieces and pay for it. Help your neighbour and your wider community? No, let the local council or the state do that, but as long as I vote for a party that will promise to help the poor and needy I can get a nice warm glow without getting my hands dirty.
Most of my working life I worked for medical charities. From the mid 1980s the level of volunteer involvement became ever smaller. Volunteer recruitment became ever more difficult. We are now seeing the results of the attitude that defined the 1960s. Peoples' answer to any problem today, ironically most prevalent amongst the politically correct in my experience, is not to roll up their sleeves and help but to call for the state to deal with it. That means the government, the politicians those same people they claim to loathe and ultimately the poor old tax payer. Because what they don't seem to understand is that government doesn't have a big money tree, we pay for them to swan around splashing the cash to get a few extra votes and to make the politically feel a warm, smug glow of self satisfaction.m
The bread and circuses have anaesthetised the populace to reality and they can't or won't see the wider picture. Pretty soon it will be too late and they'll ask how it was allowed to happen. Maybe if they wake up now and look around they will actually see for themselves before it's too late.

This Madness Must End
I'd just poured the full fat on my Frosties this morning when a news article popped up from Oxford that had me almost choking on my first mouthful. There is a campaign led by fruitcakes and nutjobs to have a statue of Cecil Rhodes removed from a college wall. Despite the Rhodes Scholarship over many decades funding a great number of academics the politically correct hate mob regard the statue as offensive, nothing new there. Rhodesia the wealthy, prosperous precursor of Mugabe's economic basket case now called Zimbabwe was founded by Rhodes. Rhodes is therefore evil and must be expunged from history. He never existed, Rhodesia never existed.
After the American Civil War Abraham Lincoln wrote a thank you letter to the working men of Manchester for boycotting cotton imports from the southern states. Manchester City Council in the 1980s erected a statue of Lincoln in the city centre including a copy of the letter. Well it was almost a copy of the letter. Nearly a copy because they had changed Lincoln's wording from 'working men' to 'working people'. The politically correct nutjobs clearly think Lincoln was a dirty old mysogynistc, sexist, male chauvinist pig. So why put up the statue?
In the USA the same dark forces are at work with campaigns to have Confederate flags got rid of, statues of Confederate generals removed and their remains dug up from public spaces. Comedians in both the US and the UK hounded from university campuses because the politically correct thought police disapprove of their words. Academia, once the driving force of freedom of thought and expression is now the political commissar of one of the most oppressive yet subtle organs of totalitarianism ever seen on earth, political correctness.
Last week a couple were left dying in the Soviet Republic of Scotland in a crashed car for three days. The accident had been reported to the police who it seems just left them. The best way to get the attention of the Scottish police is to call a Scotsman a 'Jock' or a 'Sweaty Sock' on Twitter and at 4 00am you'll find your door kicked down by PC MacTavish and charged with thought crime. Or is it hate crime? I'm not sure.
On the question of hate crime what the fuck is it? It seems to me that if any crime, from murder to mugging, is perpetrated against a gay person, a person of another race or a disabled person it is a hate crime to the politically correct. It's as if crime from murder to mugging against the rest of us is a love crime and therefore less serious. More politically correct bollocks designed to divide and rule.
Political correctness is all about creating a sense of self-loathing. Ridicule our moral values, despise our history, label us all racist, homophobic, sexist, ageist or any other 'ism' you can imagine. The destruction of our way of life is the aim of the Frankfurt School of Marxism, the driving force behind political correctness and it seems to be working.
This is done by expanding the state. Make a large group dependent on welfare and they have been neutered politically and morally. At the other end of the spectrum more and more people are employed by the state making them as dependent on the state as the welfare dependents, Turkeys don't vote for Christmas. Academia has increasingly oppressed freedom of thought and expression, remember Professor Tim Hunt?
Whether a university, a charity or any other body applying for public funding or support you have to prove your politically correct credentials. Applying for contracts or employment with state or other public bodies and you will have to prove your politically correct credentials. You or your staff haven't been on a LGBT awareness course? Forget it. Haven't been on a gender awareness training course? Forget it. Haven't been on a racial equality and diversity training course? Forget it.
Dare to say the wrong thing and you will be sent to the intellectual gulag for the politically incorrect, maybe onto welfare or to university for retraining and rehabilitation. Brainwashing to you and me.
This madness must end.

The UN Says: "Be Happy You Miserable Bastards!"
If ever we needed a reminder of what a fatuous waste of time and money the United Nations is today is it. Today is the UN's International Day of Happiness so smile you git, including you lot over there in North Korea. Come on ISIS, put that cutlass down and instead of beheading that Christian, get him guffawing with a good, old fashioned Syrian, Iraqi and Iranian joke. Come on West Africa, stop worrying about Ebola for a day and get each other giggling. Vanuatu? Lighten up, you'll soon be looking back on the last fortnight and the only thing you'll remember is the UN making you happy today.
Then a few days back we had that grand old queen of England Elton John throwing yet another temper tantrum and calling for an international boycott of Dolce and Whatsit. Why was he in such an emotional state? Dolce and Whatsit, or Dolce or Whatsit maybe, had said that IVF was synthetic and that adoption should be restricted to traditional families, a man and a woman. Of course dare question the self-obsessed godmother of lifestyle and you cross the world's great and good, well, Posh Beckham and bloated, coke snorting, retired Argentinian football cheat Maradonna. (Think you'll find that's Madonna. Ed.) Yes the usual suspects who think it's cool to have a little mascot like Elton John to fawn and grovel over jumped on the bandwagon. Surprised they didn't get the Ouija board out for a quick quote from Liz Taylor.
Quite clearly IVF, by definition, is synthetic. Fact Elton, get over it you sad little git. As for adoption. Well I'm with Dolce and Whatsit on that one too. To be perfectly honest having seen and read so much about Elton John I can't imagine anybody less suitable to be a parent. But he typifies modern Britain, dare to disagree about something, especially regarding the current politically correct orthodoxy, and you fall head first into a shit storm of epic proportions, especially if it's concerning race or sexuality.
Yesterday I fell into my very own shit storm. It wasn't epic, it was a bit limp wristed coming from a Green Party tree hugger who I suspect hadn't eaten his lentils. I had the temerity on an internet forum to suggest that David Coburn, UKIP's MEP for Scotland, was guilty of nothing worse than stupidity when he said that he called Scottish politician Humza Yousaf, jokingly, Abu Hamza. It seems that because both are of similar ethnicity but one is a convicted terrorist this is racist. As I was defending Coburn, while calling him stupid (yes I know) said tree hugger then told me that I too am clearly a 'racist'. I told said Green Party weirdo that he was clearly a twat and promptly blocked him.
Two examples of how oppressive and anti free speech political correctness really is. Disagree with the politically correct and they hunt you down and, in the case of Elton John, will try to damage your business. In my case it was a dickhead using 'racist' as a term of abuse. In fact 'racist' is a word that is so misused today it is effectively meaningless.
As for the UN International Day of Happiness. About as interesting as the eclipse which seems to have only served to give saddoes in the media some sort of weird pseudo-sexual stimulation. The moon's crossing between us and the sun, big deal. I can stand on the station car park and when a truck goes up Warton Road it blocks my view of the Co-Op. Same thing surely?
Have a good weekend.

2015, Election Year
Having suffered four years of wishy washy, wet government May 2015 gives us the chance to bin the coalition of cheats, thieves and liars. Or does it? Maybe the electorate gets what it deserves and next year's general election will punish us with a bunch of similar, maybe even worse misfits taking power than this lot.
Let's face it political correctness, that strange form of mental illness, continues to devour what's left of freedom and democracy and brands commonsense policies dangerous at best, evil at worst. Dare to call for controlled immigration and you are branded an evil racist.
A fine recent example of hysterical PC branding was when US commentator Rush Limbaugh asserted that James Bond should not be played by a black actor on the grounds that Ian Fleming created Bond as the son of a Scottish father and French Swiss mother. Of course the shit hit the fan and he, and others, were pilloried for such evil racism. I suppose, therefore, that we will soon see Russell Brand playing the lead role in a bio pic of Nelson Mandela's life.
Don't agree with gay marriage? Many of us have been branded evil homophobes for daring to question the idea of gay marriage. I don't have a problem with gay couples having all the legal rights that heterosexual couples have. I don't have a problem with civil partnerships. I just believe that marriage is, and should remain, the joining together of a man and a woman. Call me old fashioned but do not brand me homophobic, because I'm not.
Dare to comment on the stonings, beheadings, crucifications and more carried out by muslims and you are branded an Islamphobe. The apologists for Islam claim that it is a peaceful religion full of joy and goodness. Well maybe ISIS are rogues but look at any muslim state and tell me you, especially if you are a woman, would like to go and live there. Public executions, often shown on TV? Women arrested for driving? Women stoned to death for adultery or even for being raped? Homosexuals thrown in jail or facing death? Under sharia law only the males in a family can inherit? These things don't strike me as being compatible with liberal western values. But dare criticise and all those politically correct liberals who want their version of 'equality' imposed on us suddenly defend the polar opposite of what they preach to us and brand you an Islamophobe.
The politically correct loathe British people who live in France, Spain and other countries but maintain a British way of life, eating British food, shopping in British shops, playing cricket and bowls and so on. Little Englanders who should integrate cry the politically correct.
Visit a typical British city and you often find yourself in huge areas that resemble Delhi, Istanbul, Cyprus or Lahore. Wonderful examples of diversity and multiculturalism cry the politically correct.
The central element of political correctness is self-loathing. A loathing of British culture. A loathing of British history. A loathing of the British way of life. A loathing of British people. A loathing of our political system. Foreigners are so much friendlier. Foreign cultures are so much more vibrant. It is a form of mental illness involving self harm. An individual suffering this form of illness would be offered treatment.
Against this backdrop it is no wonder that next year's general election is unlikely to offer us a serious option for change. They are all scared that the media and the metropolitan elite will brand them evil extremists if they dare say anything that could be branded politically incorrect.
At one time politicians had beliefs. Does anybody know what any of our senior politicians actually believe today? At one time our politicians used to listen to the electorate. Now, because they have been so neutered by political correctness, they daren't listen to the public.
So who is really to blame for this mess? Senior politicians? Yes. One thing that would make 2015 a wonderful year would be to see the Chilcot Report published and Tony Blair hauled off to The Hague on war crimes charges. That's just for starters.
The politically correct? Of course they are to blame. In another era they would have been labelled Quislings, and quite rightly so.
But when apportioning blame the 'anti-politicians' must carry a huge burden of guilt. I mean those people who sit on their bums slagging off anybody involved in politics, be they a volunteer leafleter or an MP, just for the fact that they are involved in politics. The advent of the internet has made this problem even worse with the appearance of the keyboard warrior, who has all the answers, usually idiotically simplistic answers, but still sits on his fat arse doing nothing constructive but slagging off those who actually stick their heads above the parapet and try to change things. The 'anti-politicians' do more than anybody else to drive people away from politics thus leaving political parties in the hands of an ever dwindling band of misfits.
For the first time in decades I won't be involved in the next election in any way, a combination of disenchantment and finding that trying to engage the average voter is like trying to raise the dead. An utter, demoralising waste of time. I doubt I'll even be voting in May 2015, for the first time since the local elections in 1980, although I spoilt my European ballot paper in 1979.
So, if you vote just for the sake of voting, even though you don't agree with any of them, don't complain when you get a government you don't like or that you accuse of not listening. You voted for them.
Before you slag me off I spent around 35 years trying to make a difference, but when banging your head against a wall gets really painful you stop. Think you could do more and better? Then get off your lazy arse, leave your keyboard alone and get involved.
To those who are still motivated enough to plod the streets knocking on doors on behalf of a candidate, stuffing envelopes in a draughty campaign office or sticking their heads above the parapet to actually stand for parliament I wish you luck, and the New Year you deserve.

Gay Wedding Cakes and a Burning Effigy of Fatboy
Two things angered me today. Yes, that's right only two, but it's only 16:10 so there's time yet. Of course driving into Morecambe today a couple of motorists pissed me off, but that's usual and not worth banging on about.
No today a gay wedding cake pissed me off and a burning effigy of Alex 'Fatboy' Salmond did. But what really angered me was the intervention of the police state into both episodes.
I think we should all move to Lewes in Sussex, especially if you live in a high crime area because in Lewes they have no crime to investigate. It must be a no crime area because the police are investigating the burning on a bonfire of an effigy of Scotland's very own Kim Jong Un Alex Salmond. When asked why the police were wasting their time on triviality like this the reply came: "Well, a member of the public complained so we have to investigate". Forgive me but would the police investigate if I phoned and complained that Gregg's had run out of Steak Bakes? There are times even the police state should tell idiot members of the public to piss off and grow up.
Now then, anger inducer number two was news that a baker, in Northern Ireland I think, is being dragged through the police state legal system by the Stasi (aka Equal Opportunities Commission or some similar gang of fucking misfits) for refusing to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple. Now personally I think they should have just got on with it but eh, if their conscience and moral beliefs dictate that baking a gay wedding cake is verboten then so be it. It used to be that totalitarian states oppressed gay people, how times have changed, now our police state oppresses people who object to gay marriage. Or, put it another way, our police state kicks peoples' doors down at dawn for not baking a cake.
Why didn't they just find a baker who would have baked their sodding cake? Of course, the couple are going for compensation.

FC United of Manchester and Red Fascists
We've been away this past fortnight but Facebook, Twitter and t'interweb generally help to keep you in touch, so I wasn't surprised when a rumpus kicked off around FC United again. Socialists really are tedious and dreary.
This one kicked off when a board member listed a range of political parties that they have decided are incompatible with supporting FC United. One of them was the UK Independence Party. Bear in mind that this is a club that constantly bangs on about equality, equal rights and standing up for the whole community. This is a decidedly Stalinist approach to people whose political views you happen to disagree with. What has my politics got to do with watching and supporting a football club?
It seems that if you want to leave the European Union, and believe in controlling immigration, then you are a raving racist/fascist/Nazi in the eyes of the commissars at FC United and they don't want you polluting the atmosphere at their games. I don't support UKIP but believe in a sensible immigration policy and independence from the EU. I am not a racist or a fascist and certainly no Nazi, neither is UKIP. That is the schoolboy level of political debate your average socialist is capable of in 2014, name calling and hurling abuse.
This juvenile labelling, especially the word 'racist' adds nothing to serious debate and has now led to the word 'racist' meaning absolutely nothing. It is nothing more than a word of abuse used to smear people and close debate. The left in this country seem to have an unhealthy obsession with race which makes me wonder what is really in their minds, deep, deep down. On a political level it is a vicious and cynical ploy to divide and rule. But deeper I fear their obsession with race has some deep rooted psychological reason that a psychiatrist could probably study quite extensively.
Ultimately there is no place for politics in sport. What I do know is that many people have walked away from FC United because of the increasing level of political extremism among senior members. I for one am not prepared to support the sporting section of an intolerant, bigoted, fascist/socialist organisation. It's sad because the club was set up for admirable reasons but I can no longer support the club any more than I could support the Glazer owned Manchester United.

Duggan, de Menezes and Tomlinson
Jean Charles de Menezes was an innocent man killed by the police.
Ian Tomlinson was an innocent man killed by the police.
Mark Duggan a 'gangsta' was lawfully killed by the police.
Whose death led to riots and accusations of racism?

Police State Tightening Its Grip!
![]() |
| Golly! You can't show that. |
Surely the people of this country must soon find the bottle to rise up against this crap. Let's hope for a popular uprising in the not too distant. Maybe if the powers that be took soap operas off our tellies it would get people rioting. Then again...

Political Correctness #1298
Political correctness just seems to rumble on and on, and every time it tightens its grip we lose a little more of our freedom.
This morning we had breakfast and watched a news channel on the goggle box. I nearly choked on my Weetabix when a child psychologist popped up singing the praises of some lunatic teacher who insists that all children in a class must be invited to a child's party or none. She (the psychologist) was banging on about 'social inclusion'. So the hated little shit nobody likes must be invited? I don't think so. What next, if we have a party we can no longer invite only neighbours we know and like but must invite the whole street? Absolute madness.
Then Adrian Chiles was forced to apologise on Twitter because some pillock was offended when he made a remark about not getting building work done on his house because of the number of Poles attending the game tomorrow night at Wembley. Are we such a nation of wet farts these days that a joke like that can cause offence? What about the old one about the Korean car sticker: A dog isn't just for Christmas, there should be enough for butties on Boxing Day too?

Racial Hysteria
Hysteria about race seems to bubble just below the surface in the UK after years of politically correct brain washing. Lefties and pinko-do-gooders love nothing more than a self righteous rant at some perceived act of racism, it makes them feel better about their sad and pointless existences.
So, well done the Home Office, you've sent them into truly hysterical paroxysms of rage with your stupid 'illegal immigrants piss off or get nicked' van trundling around London. Even pillock-in-chief of UKIP, Nigel Farage has condemned it.
Whoever has been involved in dreaming up this stupid, meaningless stunt should be sacked and never again employed in any public sector capacity. Our taxes are being wasted funding these idiots and their stupid schemes. A stupid scheme is what this is, it is not racism. But of course the loonies have gone into overdrive.
Diane Abbot, always one for a spot of moral outrage and senseless hyperbole, claims the wording is the same as 'Pakis go home'. Goes to show that even going to a posh public school doesn't guarantee you will be able to comprehend basic English. No Diane, nowhere on that van does it say 'Pakis go home'.
Then a lunatic from a refugee support group popped up on the radio claiming it could trigger race riots. Quite how she couldn't explain but eh, never let rationality temper a bout of politically correct moral outrage.
One loony on the radio even claimed that this is how the Nazis treated the Jews in Germany. Now that is certifiably mad and grossly insulting to the millions of Jews exterminated by the Nazis and their relatives left behind. Faced with a van telling you to go home before you're found and sent out of the country is, I'm pretty sure, a much better option than being sent to Auschwitz in a cattle truck. I certainly know which option I'd take.
Racism and ant-racism, two sides of the same coin.

Coronation Street Race Row
If you don't know Corrie is set in the fictional Manchester suburb of Weatherfield. Unlike other soaps it has rarely hit the big social issues of the day and has been popular for its dry, northern humour and irony. It was no-nonsense gritty working class drama that didn't take itself too seriously. Or it used to be like that.
In the last episode last week one character (Paul) turned to the other while playing darts in the pub and laughingly said: "Play the white man". That was it, it all kicked off. A black character (Lloyd) heard the phrase being uttered and became extremely angry, there was a huge row with the white character accused of racism. For the rest of the episode, like some kind of TV soap style Stalinist show trial, virtually every character popped up to condemn the evil racism that had caused such deep offence in the pub.
My problem with this is on several levels. Paul, the character who uttered the evil words, had previously shown absolutely no hint of racism or any other 'ism'. It came completely out of the politically correct blue. It was as if the writers had been sat around bored and decided it would be good for ratings to confront the issue of racism. It was clumsy to say the least and smacked of a writer being on a hobby horse.
On another level many people I know have used the phrase "play the white man", including me. Now I'm not going to self-flagellate and profess to have black friends so I'm not racist etc. etc., all I can say is read my blog and see if you detect anything that could be (mis)construed as racism. Maybe now I will think twice about using the phrase, just in case it does cause offence, but using the phrase hardly merits the user being treated like the reincarnation of Eugene Terreblanche. A jokey put down by the black character would have probably made the point much more effectively. But crying racism and going into Twitter style moral outrage belittles the victims of true racism and is highly patronising to most of us.
I am pissed off with politically correct bullshit. I am pissed off with patronising politically correct morons lecturing the rest of us about the evils of 'isms', 'isms' that usually exist in the patronising minds of the politically correct who are so feeble minded they desperately want to take offence on behalf of other people, people who rarely see anything to offend.
I suspect in a real working class Manchester pub the conversation would have gone something like:
Paul: "Play the white man".
Lloyd: "What do you mean you cheeky bastard?"
Paul: "What? I wasn't talking to you"
Lloyd: "Play the white man? As if you lot are better than us?"
Paul: "Oh shit yea, I didn't think of it like that, sorry mate, just a turn of phrase. Fancy a pint?"
Lloyd: "Cheers yea, pint of bitter please mate. Fancy a game of darts?"
That's why I will never watch Coronation Street again. While I still have the freedom I choose not to be brainwashed by the box in the corner.

Western Civilisation RIP
Largely thanks to political correctness I am convinced that we are moving into the final death throes of our civilisation. Maybe, when you look around at Britain in 2013, it will be a relief to some extent, maybe something better will rise from the ashes.
At home political correctness has created such an atmosphere of self-loathing that any expression of patriotism is seen by many as extreme right-wing at best, evil xenophobia/racism at worst. Likewise if you dare to be critical of foreign states and people unless it's the USA, in which case it's open season. A current fine example is daring to criticise Nelson Mandela rather than slobbering and cooing at the sound of his name, that will have you attacked as an obvious Nazi/White Supremacist.
Our government ousted Sadam in Iraq, admittedly a right bastard, but have left behind a murdering cauldron of hatred and death largely fuelled by hatred of the West. All over the Middle East our government seems intent on supporting terrorist gangs of Islamist nutters who want to take over one country after another and install hate filled, lunatic regimes that loathe us.
A squaddie is murdered in Woolwich by Islamist nutters but large swathes of the press tried to draw some moral equivalence between the killers and demonstrators who took to the streets to condemn the killers.
Now then, here's a question:
Somebody was refused entry to the UK this week for making a statement. Was it the person who uttered:
‘It [Islam] is a religion and a belief system that mandates warfare against unbelievers for the purpose for establishing a societal model that is absolutely incompatible with Western society. Because of media and general government unwillingness to face the sources of Islamic terrorism these things remain largely unknown.’
Or was it the person who stated:
‘Devotion to Jihad for the sake of Allah, and the desire to shed blood, to smash skulls and to sever limbs for the sake of Allah and in defense of His religion, is, undoubtedly, an honor for the believer.’
As if you need a clue, here is what British MP Keith Vaz said to justify the ban:
‘The UK should never become a stage for inflammatory speakers who promote hate.’
If you really need to check the answer then visit Douglas Murray's Blog in The Spectator.
Increasingly the political class appear to hate us, increasingly I see voting as a form of collaboration.

Political Correctness? National Self-Loathing More Like!
There are idiots then there are the politically correct, far worse than the most idiotic of idiots. I haven't been blogging much in the last twelve months because I've been working hard, and doing very long hours, building a new business.
Now I know that will be a surprise to John Bercow, who thinks that Eastern Europeans are the ones who work hard and the English are lazy, slovenly bastards, but it happens to be true. Ironic really that a man who makes a very substantial living sitting on a throne shouting 'order, order' and living in palatial state apartments in the Palace of Westminster should be so arrogant as to slag off those of us in the real world but eh, he's got little man syndrome I suspect, reinforced by a gobby wife who towers above him just to emphasise his diminutive stature.
Then the news today has been full of crap from the new Children's Laureate, Malorie Blackman, banging on about how white parents don't buy books with black people on the cover. How she knows that I'm not sure, unless she's done a survey of several million people. But I suspect she's just making as offensively sweeping a generalisation as the BNP and their ilk are wont to do. Bear in mind this is a woman who writes books, for children, about whites being in a minority in this country and being oppressed and victimised by the black majority. She also claims to have felt 'invisible' growing up because she read books that didn't have black people in them. Didn't put her off becoming a successful writer though did it? I wonder if in her parallel universe there would be a white Children's Laureate?
Then in the Torygraph Tanya Aldred is banging on about how disgusting it is that there will not be a female cricket commentator when the Ashes are played this summer. Big bloody deal. Personally I find female commentators on football, cricket and rugby shrill and off putting and am glad it will be an all male commentary team. I also don't like the idea of male midwives, not that I've ever needed one, and actually feel much more comfortable seeing a female GP rather than a male GP. If that makes me guilty of any 'isms' then shame, but I don't give a shit.
Of course the real reason for political correctness is to cow us all into submission. When whites loathe themselves, men loathe themselves, the able bodied, the heterosexuals and other 'traditional' groups loathe themselves and they all loathe christians the job will have been done. We'll be mere cogs in the wheel of a powerful and controlling police state, bullied and pushed about because we hate ourselves and are too afraid to fight back .
Not far to go.

Political Correctness-Let's Have A Laugh
There's nothing better than seeing the self-righteous, sanctimonious, holier than thou come a right cropper. Recently there have been two great examples in Paul Elliott, ex-footballer, and the Lib Dems, personified by Lord Rennard.
For years the Lib Dems have bored real people rigid whining on about equality and other politically correct claptrap. Now they are embroiled in a dirty old man saga with four women claiming Lord Rennard, a Lib Dem peer, acted 'inappropriately'. Inappropriate seems to me to be one of those euphemisms so fond of the politically correct, meaning behaviour that they don't like, but isn't really bad. Example: Lord Rennard pats his secretary's bottom, that is 'inappropriate' behaviour, which is quite different to rape, or attempted rape, which is way beyond 'inappropriate'.
Then there is Paul Elliott, ex-footballer and professional black man. He has been given a CBE for services to political correctness. Since retiring from a very lucrative and successful career as a footballer he has whined on about racism on a regular basis becoming known as an 'anti-racism campaigner'. But he has just had to resign from various positions within the Football Association for, I love this one, sending racist text messages to a former business partner. Oh the sweet irony! I assume Aunt Lizzie will be popping round to Chez Elliott to get the gong back.
But that's political correctness. It's such a crock of tripe that even the politically correct get tangled in the ridiculous web they have weaved. Oh how we laughed.

Breaking Down Communities
Everything about political correctness and the modern obsession with 'equality' seems designed to divide communities and pit one group against another. Talk of community and society is cheap when we seem to be living in an era when disparate groups seem to think that we should all adapt our lives to suit them. It seems to be the tyranny of the minorities.
The horrific Harriet Harman has been at it again recently whining on about women only shortlists for parliamentary elections. David Cameron's been whining about there not being enough women in the Cabinet too. Personally I don't care what sex my MP is, as long as he/she is capable of doing a job. If I was faced with a candidate from a women only shortlist that would guarantee that particular candidate didn't receive my vote.
Then we have disability groups expecting the whole world to adapt on the off chance that a person with a particular disability is inconvenienced. I have every sympathy for people with disabilities, having worked for medical charities much of my working life, but there are far too many people working for disability groups, especially disability rights/pressure groups, who have a vested interest in constantly preaching at people. They are making good livings from doing it.
I have every sympathy with disabled people and have campaigned for disabled access to buildings etc. An example of the extreme I distrust was a case when I worked for a London charity a few years back. We had held an annual event in a particular venue and had spent many months with the management committee planning the event that particular year. A disabled person on the committee had taken part in the planning. But on the day he turned up, with a local newspaper journalist, and made a big deal about not being able to get in without assistance. We could have used a fully accessible venue and told the original venue why we had moved venue. But he wanted to be seen as a martyr.
Then there is the disproportionate amount of political influence gained by the militant gay lobby. Any criticism of gay people or gay lifestyle and the critic is branded homophobic. Catholic adoption agencies have been forced to close down because they would not place children with gay couples. The word 'marriage' has been redefined because gay people want to get 'married'. The whole of the population, it seems, has to change to accommodate the wishes of the militant gay lobby.
Racial politics is the obvious great divider. Criticise Islam and you're an 'islamophobe'. Criticise the levels of immigration and you're a 'xenophobe'. No place for rational debate, just stifle argument branding opponents 'phobic'.
So here's one to ponder. I heard a black comedian on a comedy panel show having to say what reason she had been given that father Chritmas didn't exist. Her mother told her it was because she didn't want a fat white man with a beard taking credit for the presents she'd bought. I can't help wondering if that had been a white comedian talking about a black figure that she would have been branded racist.
