David Morris MP and Syria

I've been a little busy lately, so am catching up with some of the local news. Back in June 2010 I made the mistake of voting Tory, really just to get Gordon Brown and the Labour Party idiots out. Sadly we ended up with this mongrel government of social democrats masquerading as Conservatives and Liberals. Neither party is what their names suggest.

But the local news was truly disturbing. Our local MP, for Morecambe and Lunesdale, is Tory chinless wonder David Morris. Now then, after Morris grovelled to Cameron by refusing to vote for an EU referendum when it was debated in Parliament I had already decided not to vote for him when the next election comes around. But now he's gone even further in showing his complete lack of fitness for political office.

The man has managed to rack up more expenses in one year than he received in salary. This link will take you to his expenses totals for the last three years on his website. But for 2012/13 he managed to claim nearly £76,000, almost £23,000 of which went on travel. He claims to always buy the cheapest return ticket when he travels from London to his constituency. Assuming he comes back three weekends each month, and let's say that he does that every month then each journey costs nearly £640. Is he flying home in the sodding space shuttle?

Nobody is claiming that he has done anything against the rules, he points out that the relevant authorities have checked and approved all his claims. Well smoking is perfectly legal but many of us choose not to smoke. Likewise many of us have been in jobs where we could have claimed huge expenses but felt morally obliged to keep them down. Somehow he manages to cost, in expenses alone, around £210 every single day of the year including Christmas Day and Bank Holidays. I bet I could sort him accomodation in London, home and office, and travel to his constituency on a weekly basis for a fraction of that. Yet another reason not to vote for him next time around.

Then there is Syria. Looks like Cameron and Obama are just Bush and Blair Mk II doesn't it? How would we react if it kicked off in Northern Ireland again and Iran and Iraq decided to bomb the crap out of London and/or Belfast in support of the rebels (IRA)? Not quite like for like that comparison I know but it makes the point.

If there is a vote on attacking Syria in the House of Commons I'll be checking how Mr Morris votes.

So with there being no credible parties in next year's European elections, and none looking likely to appear before 2015, it looks like abstention and spoilt ballot papers next year and the one after.

Can They Get Any Worse?

So, the pinko lefties are drooling about Obama being re-elected. Big deal.  Seeing him constantly on TV these last few weeks has really shown how shallow politics has become here and in the States. He seems hot on rhetoric but when you analyse it he says little of any real substance. From a British point of view having a US President who supports Argentina's claim to the Falklands isn't very helpful either.

Then there's the question of race. This morning I've lost count of the number of references to Obama's race. At best it makes him sound like a token black man, at worst it is surely racism. I've always said that the far left and the far right are two sides of the same coin on the question of race and racism. The reaction to the re-election of Obama, I think, proves me right.

Then we have Nadine Dorries MP disappearing off to Australia to play around in the reality TV show I'm A Celebrity.. Says it all about what she thinks of her position as a Member of Parliament and her constituents. At least George Galloway wasn't an MP when he was well and truly humiliated on Big Brother.

Then we have hundreds of thousands of people signing petitions calling for a referendum on our continued membership of the European Union. Do we get a referendum? No, instead we get to vote for elected Police and Crime Commissioners on November 15th. Democracy in action?

Yesterday I spoilt my ballot paper for the November 15th election. I posted it back with 'just another politicians' gravy train' written across it and something like 'muppet' written against the name of each candidate. I look forward to doing similar at the next general election.

Surely it can't get any worse.

Pillock Of The Week

The pillock just had to be a caller to the Jeremy Vine show yesterday on BBC Radio 2.

I was taking my beloved to visit her mother in hospital  in Manchester and was listening to the radio in the car. Part of the show was a discussion about Syria. Now call me a cynical old fart if you will, but I'm not convinced that we aren't being fed bullshit about Syria and other Arab countries by our governments in the West. But that's another issue.

Anyway, this particular participant, a texter or emailer I think, must have just discovered that the President of Syria has an English wife, Asma. Her bright idea to end the violence in Syria was for the British authorities to put Asma's English relatives under house arrest until hubby, Mr President, stops being nasty to people.

By that logic, if you have a relative somewhere in the world who might get into trouble be prepared, if this nutty pillock has her way you might find yourself in shackles because little Chantal or Mackenzie has been shoplifting in Australia on their gap year and you happen to be cousin/aunt/brother or whatever to the delinquent.

She might think it a form of diplomacy, I think it's more a form of kidnapping pretty much on a par with those pirates in the Indian Ocean. I suppose it does go some way to explaining how the self-righteous anti-paedophile lynch mob a few years back ransacked a paediatrician's home. A lot of not very bright people about.

She was closely followed by this week's runner up pillock, President Obama. He referred to Auschwitz as 'a Polish death camp'. His clanger was quaintly brushed away by his sycophants as a 'misstatement'. No it wasn't, whatever 'misstatement' means, it was a cock up. Imagine the uproar if George Bush had said that. There may be differences in English between us and the Americans but that goes beyond just linguistic differences. No wonder the Poles are pissed off.

God help us!

James Delingpole on President Obama, Or Is It O'Bama?

I always have a laugh when US politicians claim Irish ancestry. Especially when you find out that their claim actually rests on once drinking a pint of Guiness in O'Flaherty's Bar in Boston. Well, Clinton was up to it and now Barack Obama is up to it.

But I can't beat this wonderful article by James Delingpole. So I won't try. You must read it, it's Pure Genius.

Harriet Harman Wins Award!

Because she's such a whining, whinging, 'equality' obsessed bitch I've decided to honour her. It's a long time since I awarded an Obie, so here's one for the Bitchfinder General, Harriet Harperson:

Global Warming-Copenhagen Update

Well it worked didn't it? All that hot air in Copenhagen then Brown and Obama ride in like Butch and Sundance, kick a little ass and wallop, global warming goes away leaving Ambleside (left) in blizzards and arctic style chaos.

We've heard that the University of East Anglia has started a project looking at the deadly risk of an imminent new ice age. Meanwhile George Monbiot is calling for the nationalisation of igloo and sled making companies to ensure fair distribution of resources as we face decades of ice, snow and freezing temperatures from, well, about now.

But that's it for now, off to clear a pesky polar bear from my garden before it eats our cats for breakfast.

Barack Obama-Nobel Peace Prize

What did Obama win this for?

He had only been in office 12 days when nominations closed on February 1.

Make your own mind up!

Hypocrites (Part 3)

Hypocrisy [hi-pok-ruh-see]
A pretence of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.

The pinko liberals find one of these images highly witty, the other evil and racist. Stinking hypocrites!

Barack Obama Losing the Plot

His campaign was vacuous, his poll ratings are much worse than President Nixon's at a similar time in his Presidency and now, according to this report, Barack Obama is losing the plot.

Let's face it, he makes Tony Blair look like an intellectual heavyweight.

Gordon Brown and Obama Beach

When I was watching the D-Day Ceremony I was sure I heard Gordon Brown refer to 'Obama Beach'. But thought no, he couldn't have, could he?

Poor lad's obviously feeling the stress. Or maybe he's just obsessed, like half the world it seems, with Pres Obama the Cool.

Labour Party Crooks

The Labour Party love to recycle crap aka rehabilitating crooks then reintroducing them. The latest comeback kid is Alistair Campbell, appearing as part of his programme of rehabilitation in a Fabian Society debate. This from their website:

Former No 10 communications boss Alastair Campbell joined a debate with David Lammy MP, US presidential campaigner Ben Brandzel and Fabian author Will Straw asking if the Labour Party can learn lessons from Obama's campaign, at the launch of a new Fabian book.

This follows the rehabilitation of the likes of Beverley Hughes and Lady Mandy, on numerous occasions. Note how Dolly the Sheep, I mean Dolly Draper, is also hovering around again too. They really must be short of talent.

The prospect of using Obama tactics smacks of recycling too. Let's face it Obama used Blair style bullshit to get elected in the first place.

Odds on an early general election?

Obama's Lingo

It seems there's a bit of a fuss across the pond about the audio version of Obama's autobiography. He uses naughty words like 'sh*t' with an 'i' and 'mother f*cker' with a 'u'. Aparently words that a president should not use. Well I think it is blindingly obvious that presidents have sworn, and probably will again, they are supposed to be human after all.

So,if you want to hear the offending words, being read by an actor I presume, then visit April Winchell's website and her entry for February 5th.

There's also an excellent shot of a delightful French lady baring her breasts to Mickey Rourke. It's just a shame they weren't explosive, she could have also rid the world of the Fenian bastard!

Deluded People and Conmen

I cannot get excited about what is happening in Washington today. The US election was like some sort of second rate reality TV show, 'Who's Got the Pres Factor?' or something similar.

What really worries me is that all he seems to have been elected for was being 'black', although his white momma might have something to say there, and for constantly gobbing off about the need for 'change'. What concerns me is that nobody in the States seems to have asked what that change actually is.

What about the overt racism? The hysterical assumption throughout the world, not just in the USA, that because he is black he is good and will be a great president. Why?

Finally on Obama, if Bono is over there grovelling and crawling then he must be a complete shit! I would go so far as to say that Obama is as big a conman as Bono, but more scary considering his position.

Step forward the next international conman in the news today, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the owner of Manchester City Football Club. He did a great 'Obama' on the football world. Poor deluded City fans fell for the waffle, yet again, that they were about to become the richest and therefore best football club in the world. After all they were buying Brazilian genius Kaka for an obscene £100,000,000 weren't they? But what they got instead was Craig Bellamy, a £12,000,000 Welsh misfit.

Still the great Sheikh bought them the £32,000,000 genius Robinho didn't he? Except it is reported today that Robinho has thrown a tantrum and run off to Brazil.

You can fool some of the people some of the time, you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

But then there are Yanks and Manchester City fans.............

Michael Moore-Prat!

Yesterday I gratuitously abused Michael Moore. Today I thought, let's have a look at what the fat prat is up to these days and he never disappoints. Below is an example of his pathetic sycophancy from the excellent website Moorewatch.com

"Who among us is not at a loss for words? Tears pour out. Tears of joy. Tears of relief. A stunning, whopping landslide of hope in a time of deep despair.

In a nation that was founded on genocide and then built on the backs of slaves, it was an unexpected moment, shocking in its simplicity: Barack Obama, a good man, a black man, said he would bring change to Washington, and the majority of the country liked that idea. The racists were present throughout the campaign and in the voting booth. But they are no longer the majority, and we will see their flame of hate fizzle out in our lifetime".

What a complete and utter prat. And people buy his books and watch his films!
Excuse me while I vomit.

Racial Politics

I have often worried about the impact of the politics of race and was interested to read this article by Alvaro Vargas Llosa of the Independent Institute.

His argument is that Republicans in recent years, probably from desperation, focussed so sharply on a perceived immigration problem that they pushed away a high proportion of Hispanics who had previously supported them. However, those same Hispanics, in referenda held on the same day as the presidential poll, voted right of centre on many social issues. The Republicans shot themselves in the foot and drove some of their supporters into the arms of Obama.

The left set out to scare ethnic minorities into supporting them, the right exaggerate the perceived dangers from immigration to garner support for themselves from the majority. This article points out that it is the libertarian politicians who look at people as human beings first and foremost, regardless of race.

What Might President Obama Do?

Here is an interesting take by David Boaz, of the Cato Institute, on what Obama may do when he takes over as President.

Like the Conservatives when in power here, he points out that under successive Republican governments the state has grown rather than shrinking as they declare they want when seeking office. Could it be that the Republicans in opposition will revert to their roots and once again become a libertarian type of party?

If you look at the Conservatives after 11 years in opposition here I wouldn't hold out much hope.
