UKIP Implode-Again!

Poor old UKIP. Whenever they appear to have a little bit of success, which the June results were, just about, they implode. That's the problem when a party has no coherent philosophy and its leaders are only interested in 'the gravy train'.

Now Marta Andreasen, former EU accountant has walked:
“I resigned because I disagree with how the party is being managed at the level of the chairmanship,”

No surprise there then!

If still a member, I would be asking for clarification of the following statement by Paul Nuttall:

"Let’s get one thing perfectly clear. I am the party chairman. I get paid to make decisions,” he said. “If those decisions do not work then it is my head on the chopping block.

“Marta and I have different methods of working, however I do not have a problem with Marta and Marta does not have a problem with me.”
Does this mean, as he seems to be saying, that on top of his MEP salary he is also receiving a salary as party chairman? Or is it just poor use of the English language? And despite her statement above, he still claims that Marta Andreasen doesn't have a problem with him. Oh well.

But I suspect there is far worse yet to come out. In the meantime here is the full Times online article.

Those Loveable Scousers

They just can't behave can they?

A group of 25 Britons who are all believed to be from Liverpool are being questioned by police in Spain after drug raids on the island of Ibiza.

They were held as part of Operation Trafalgar, which targets alleged drugs traffickers in San Antonio town.

Police reportedly seized 19,000 Ecstasy tablets, 1.5kg of ketamine and 500g of cocaine during the operation.

Still, I suppose it's that or the dole.

BNP Question Time

Labour seem to have gone into hyper totalitarian mode over the BNP leader apparently being approved by the BBC to appear on QT. They advocate free speech as long as they approve of what's beng said, as do many so called 'liberals' these days. Surprisingly the Lib Dems have said they would not boycott if Griffin appeared. Labour seem set to boycott.

Free speech actually means free speech. If you hate what somebody stands for then argue against them and win the argument, which you will if you are in the right. I want the right not to vote BNP because I know all about them and choose not to, not because they are banned. Free speech, as long as I approve of what you say, is actually censorship.

Having said that the MEPs from UKIP, Labour, Tory and Lib Dems in the North West, all refused to share a platform with Griffin after the count in June, stomping off the platform throwing hissy fits. Perhaps I should have headed this piece 'Hypocrites'.

Farewell Farage

He won't be missed but in true Farage style he is stepping down as UKIP's leader for purely selfish and unprincipled reasons.

He claims it is to break with tradition, and convention, to stand against John Bercow at the next general election. Serious parties do not stand against the Speaker of the House of Commons.

Of course it has nothing to do with the inumerable scandals about his private life, his huge expense claims, sorry EU allowances, and where they went. You see, UKIP MEPs won't publish their details when screaming for MPs to do so.

Nothing to do with him squandering UKIP's golden opportunity since the 2004 success in the EU elections.

No Farage is doing it for Farage, either because he genuinely wants to fight Bercow, a battle he will obviously lose, or because there is another pile of manure about to rain down on UKIP, manure around Farage and his antics.

I'd bet on the manure personally if I did bet.

Of course a cynic might say he has secured five more years on the gavy train, his third five year term, so he can have a really, really good time now and just enjoy the fruits of his labour.

Joe McCarthy and Communism

I've always respected Senator Joe McCarthy's crusade in the '50s against communism in the USA, and thoughts of him were rekindled today on Twitter.

Over the years he has been vilified by the 'liberal' press and intelligentsia as a paranoid extremist, but we owe him a huge debt of gratitude for sticking to his guns. Reluctantly, many in the mainstream have revised their views on Senator McCarthy as witnessed by the following:

In 1953-54, McCarthy had been investigating lax security in the top secret facility at Ft. Monmouth, N.J. He was attacked by liberals and Communists on the grounds that there were no security problems at Ft. Monmouth. Years later, in addressing the reason why the U.S. Army's top-secret operations at Fort Monmouth were quietly moved to Arizona, Senator Barry Goldwater, in his 1979 book With no apologies: The personal and political memoirs of United States Senator Barry M. Goldwater, Goldwater stated:
"Carl Hayden, who in January 1955 became chairman of the powerful Appropriations Committee of the United States Senate, told me privately Monmouth had been moved because he and other members of the majority Democratic Party were convinced security at Monmouth had been penetrated. They didn't want to admit that McCarthy was right in his accusations. Their only alternative was to move the installation from New Jersey to a new location in Arizona."[112]
Even though McCarthy's investigations proved that his suspicions were right, for many years afterwards and continue to this day, liberals have spread the falsehood that McCarthy had found nothing at Fort Monmouth.

Before the 1989 release of Carl Bernstein's book, Loyalties: A Son's Memoir, Albert Bernstein, Carl's father, expressed dismay at the revelations that the book would make regarding Communist infiltration of the U.S. government and other sectors of American society. Albert Bernstein stated:
"You're going to prove [Sen. Joseph] McCarthy was right, because all he was saying is that the system was loaded with Communists. And he was right. ... I'm worried about the kind of book you're going to write and about cleaning up McCarthy. The problem is that everybody said he was a liar; you're saying he was right. ... I agree that the Party was a force in the country."[113]
Both Albert Bernstein and Sylvia Bernstein, Carl's mother, had both been Communists since the 1940's. Albert Bernstein was a Union activist, while Sylvia Bernstein was a secretary for the War Department in the 1930's and, during the Clinton Administration, volunteered in the White House, answering letters that were addressed to Hillary Clinton. During the 1950's, Sylvia Bernstein invoked the Fifth Amendment to avoid revealing her party ties to Congress but worked openly in assisting convicted spies Julius Rosenberg and Ethel Rosenberg, who were executed in 1953 for espionage.

Senator McCarthy had the guts to stand firm, in the face of particularly vile attacks, in his defence of freedom and liberty. This potted biography is well worth a quick look, especially if you are interested in an introduction to the story of Joe McCarthy's bravery and courage.

Patronising Pinko Tossers

The Howard League for Penal Reform have reared their ugly heads again, I suppose it is the silly season.

Now I'm not a great hang 'em and flog 'em merchant, it's hard to square being against abortion with supporting the death penalty, all life is sacred, but these clowns are on another planet.

They have now gone and insulted every prison officer in the country with their smarmy sentimentalist bollocks. Things such as:

The Howard League for Penal Reform said currently staff were "turnkeys... barely skilled or literate".

That from this report on the BBC website.

It takes a certain understanding of human nature to be a prison officer, and imagine what a shambles if they were all as the Howard League advocate:

In future, said the Howard League, only graduates in subjects such as criminology, prison law or sociology should be accepted for the role.

Imagine a pinko liberal sociologist asking a prisoner to kindly refrain from setting fire to the block because society thinks one shouldn't.

Prats!

Apology

So now the Russians are being urged to apologise to Poland for the last war. That'll make a huge difference won't it? Will it bring back the dead? Unlikely. Will it suddenly right the wrongs, perceived or otherwise, of the last 70 years? No it won't.

It's time to stop this pathetic culture of apology for the past and get on with things.

Afghanistan and the European Union

This article in The Times says it all about our presence in Afghanistan. Despite thousands of troops the election was a fraud. So what happens when our troops leave? Nothing at all will have changed is the answer.

Afghanistan isn't worth a single British life and the British politicians who sent them in should be put on trial, Tony Blair first up. Notice his kids haven't joined up, which at least the Saxe Coburg Gothas do.

But which type of democracy are we trying to impose on Afghanistan, the British type or the European Union type. It strikes me that the Afghans are nearer the EU type-if you don't like the result, just have another vote.

Radiohead/Gordon Brown/Tony Blair

Saw Radiohead at Reading on the telly t'other day, pure class. Thought this might go down well:

But when I hear 'creep', I always think of Gordon Brown and Tony Blair, in fact all those real or pseudo socialist shits and arseholes. If you are a Trot, Marxist, Leninist knob then go away and die. There you go!

I feel better for that.

Career Politicians

The Daily Telegraph has an interesting article today on work done by the New Local Goverment Network thinktank.

Worryingly it looks like at least 1 in 4 MPs after the next election will be career politicians, people who have gone from college/university to research jobs to parliament. Over 25% of our legislators will have had virtually no life experience as people like to put it. If you look at the background of many MEPs you will probably find similar figures.

What a sad state of affairs. No wonder our politicians appear grey, talentless clones with nothing original to say. Because that is exactly what they are.

The Salford Matador

So John Cooper Clark is quite rightly known as 'The Salford Bard' , and now 'The Salford Matador' is back.

At 67, after retiring on doctor's advice 5 years ago, Frank 'El Ingles' Evans made a triumphant return to the bullring this weekend on the Costa del Sol.

Frank Evans, I salute you. Full story here.

Edward Kennedy

Hype is a terrible thing and the hype around the recently deceased Edward "Teddy" Kennedy was pretty gross. The man was a parasite who lived off the family name and let's face it, the Kennedy family are only rivalled by the Saxe Coburg Gothas for dysfunctionality. Here is the Wikipedia entry for the Kennedys.

They were anti-British, supported the IRA, made their money from gun running and smuggling hooch during prohibition, were probably involved in the deaths of Marilyn Monroe and Jimmy Hoffa and the hero Teddy left Mary Jo Kopechne dead or dying in the car at Chappaquiddick, to save his own reputation.

There is also a story that JFK's election victory was down to successful rigging in Chicago. The accusations, never proven, about George W. and the chads in Florida, were supposedly made by a member of the Democrat campaign team who had been involved with JFK's election, so knew how it could be done.

Shed no tears for the Kennedys.

Michael Howard and Jeremy Paxman

I always think it's worth remembering how slimy politicians are, and Michael Howard is/was one of the slimier. Remember the following interview with Jeremy Paxman?

Happy Birthday

Young Seth is celebrating his first birthday today, hope he is having a great time.

If you wake up with a hangover young man, try an Underberg!

A Sign Of The Times-String The Bitch Up!

Very, very occasionally a news story crops up that shows how bad things have become.

This story is one. Her comments about deserving her cash make me want to puke. Personally I'd string the pathetic bitch up from the nearest lamp post.

Remembrance Day-Ieper

A couple of years ago Remembrance Day fell on the Sunday and we had tickets for the ceremonies in and around Ieper in Flanders. Unfortunately it coincided with the mother-in-law being maltreated in the NHS system and we had to cancel.

This year I will actually be in Flanders for the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month but will be on Eurostar on Remembrance Sunday. The Last Post is always incredibly moving under the Menin Gate, I suspect a lump in the throat may become a bit more on the 11th day of the 11th month.

Fuck It!

There are some strange things on t'internet, and this Fuck It website, in its own way, is one of the strangest.

Each to his own.

Talking Heads

What did you do in the war? Or what did you do to prevent the war? Oh well!

One To Avoid

The Tories are out to show how trendy and hip they are at their conference this year, by having a gay disco. They are even turning the party logo into a gay rainbow thing.

I suppose they'll all turn up in rainbow coloured cravats and pink satin pants.

It's sad but the Tories always make themselves look ridiculous when they try to be cool and trendy. In my experience you are either cool and trendy or not, you can't just become either.

And how can they organise a 'gay disco' when attacking the National Black Police Association. Surely one is racist the other sexist?

Wonder where they'll be holding the hetero disco?

NHS Truth

It's interesting to see some mild criticism of the NHS starting to appear, at long last too.

Here is the Telegraph's coverage of the recent report criticising standards of care.

I am instinctively opposed to state control because that means politicians being in control. I equally abhor the way there has been a metaphorical defensive wall erected around the NHS. Dare criticise, let alone advocate private healthcare, and in many quarters you are tantamount to a Holocaust denier or paedophile. Let's have the debate, but don't expect the Tories to be robust, they are just as bad as Labour or the Lib Dems in being scared to do what they really believe.

Take these three examples from my limited experience of the NHS. I have detailed elsewhere on this blog how my mother-in-law was so badly 'cared for' in hospital that she broke her hip while in there and they left it untreated for a week. She is now housebound.

A friend of mine was concerned at the treatment an elderly relative was receiving. Amongst other things she couldn't feed herself, so the staff just left plates of food, removed them untouched and entered 'Refusing Food' on her notes. She died in hospital. When he wanted to instigate a formal complaint her notes disappeared.

My father-in-law, on a hospital visit, lost his cap. Several days later he dropped something, bent down to pick it up and there was his cap, under the bed which obviously hadn't been cleaned for days. That was only two years ago when efforts had supposedly been made to sort out hospital infections.

I'm not saying that under a private sytem everything would be perfect, although I do believe it would be a huge improvement, what I do say is let's stop the Soviet style propoganda about the NHS and start being realistic.

Football Violence

Following on from yesterday's 'lumber' in east London I awoke wondering if football violence should be encouraged. It does tend to be those who want to fight against others who also want to fight. In football parlance those who do not wish to join in are referred to as 'civilians', and are left alone. To harm a 'civilian' is a serious offence.

It seems that the feminisation of society has led to certain male traits, such as aggression, being sneered at and discouraged, an outlet is not only inevitable but desirable, perhaps football is the obvious outlet.

If you read any of the numerous books written by reformed (or unreformed) football hooligans you will find that their gangs have highly developed structures and ethics. The books do actually make very interesting reading.

Just a thought.

West Ham United v Millwall

Those warriors, I salute you.

What's wrong with a good fight occasionally?

I've had scary times at both grounds, from about '79 onwards, big deal.

If you don't want shit, don't go.

Attacking Freedom

Here is an excellent article by Gerald Warner in today's Telegraph Online.

He savages the hypocrisy of the Equality and Human Rights Commission in starting action against the BNP, for seemingly barring non-whites from membership, while saying nothing about the National Black Police Association who, it seems, now claim that the 'black' in their title is not ethnic or racial. Yes, I know.

Personally I prefer to know exactly what an organisation stands for so that, as with the BNP, I can avoid them like the plague. But I do believe that they should have the right to expess their views, no matter how odious.

What Warner says isn't necessarily hugely controversial to those of us who believe in free speech, but the momentous thing is that it has been published in the Telegraph. Perhaps, just maybe, possibly the tide is very slowly starting to turn, who knows?

While we're at it, I look forward to the day when the 400 employees of the EHRC are all made redundant, now that would be progress.

Ballot To Be Re-Run.

In case you've been away, and were unaware, there is to be a second poll. You may be thinking in Afghanistan, where there was widespread intimidation of voters to such an extent that in some districts nobody voted. If so you would be wrong.

It is in Ireland where there was a perfectly run referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. As ever, when a referendum goes against the wishes of the European Union bureaucrats they just hold it again until they get the desired result.

I've just had Irish Referendum drawn to my attention.

The attempt to thwart democracy, aka second referendum, will be held on October 2nd.

Winning Back The Ashes-Fantastic

How good to see England's cricketers triumph and win back the Ashes. Well done lads.

I must say that Ricky Ponting was a true gent in his genorosity in defeat. His attitude was only rivalled by Gordon Brown and the Queen in singing the praises of the England cricket team. So unexpectedly magnanimous of a Scot and a German!

More Swine Flu Paranoia

This report from Manchester Online tells how a senior Manchester Bobby ended up in a ramshackle Cuban hospital when the authorities thought hid daughter looked a bit peaky. Strange that because apologists for Castro claim Cubans have the best healthcare in the world, hey ho.

Actually, it was probably good in some ways for a British tourist to see the real Cuba. If you pays your money you takes a your chances visiting a totalitarian hellhole like that.

But with flaky nutjobs in this country getting giddy and bringing in their own ridiculous 'anti-Swine Flu' measures, it's good to see they are in the kind of company they deserve, sharing over-reaction with a paranoid, senile, communist despot on his last legs.

Inspiral Carpets-Manchester Music

England thrashing the Aussies so time for a bit of fun. Please put your hands together for Inspiral Carpets:

Afghanistan Election-EU Approves

The EU observers have noted that the election in Afghanistan was mostly OK, although in some areas there was intimidation, in some areas people were unable to vote etc., etc. However the result will stand.

It seems that the EU only demands that polls be re-run where there is absolutely no evidence of any wrongdoing whatsoever, such as Ireland.

More on Swine Flu

Henry North London commented on my earlier post about Swine Flu, so I visited his blog.

This post is very worrying and I recommend that you take a look.

Swine Flu Bull

The paranoia about swine flu is becoming a really sick joke. The government, to be seen to be 'caring', has whacked out so much Tamiflu that this strain could mutate and become a more deadly strain before the antidote to this one is found. But look at some of the hysteria created in the workplace. This week I have heard of employers that have:

Banned staff using blow dryers in the loos in favour of paper towels.

Banned staff from using tea towels after a brew, yes in favour of paper towels.

Despite that they still have a sign on the stairs saying 'All Staff Must Use The Handrail'.

I think there are far too many people in jobs with no real work to do, or perhaps we are now a nation of big soft tarts whio need to rediscover a bit of backbone. Of course, we must remember the part people like WHO have played in building this hysteria.

And finally, I even saw a nobhead in a surgical mask trotting down the street this week.

The Meaning of Life

The Lockerbie bomber returned to Libya and addressed the happy crowd that turned out to cheer his triumphant return. Addressing them he said: " In Scotland I had time to contemplate and I discovered the meaning of life; imprisonment until you feel a bit peaky!".

At least if you are a mass murderer and the SNP are in power.

Patronising The Peasants

I was right, and my beloved was less than impressed. Sarah Ferguson, Duchess because she married a Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, flounced into Wythenshawe and made herself look a right pillock to anybody who didn't grow up in an ivory tower with a silver spoon up their jacksy! How's that for mixing metaphors?

She and her PR lackeys no doubt, decided to make her look like the next drooling 'queen of hearts' by heading to a big council estate to open a community centre. That it was it really but she kept whining on about biting off more than she could chew. Get a life you sad old bag. In the midst of this social and economic desert she finds a bastion of morality to appoint as her right hand woman, enter fat ugly bird who can't get a CRB check because, on behalf of her spoilt little brats, she smacked another mother about after pulling half her hair out.

But the saintly Fergie forgave her and made her head honcho. Just hope Fergie pisses her off in the next episode and receives a good slap herself. No wonder the people of Wythenshawe are pissed off with it all.

Wythenshawe and the Duchess

My beloved grew up in Wythenshawe and her parents still live there. She maintains it's a tough but solid part of Manchester, I claim it's soft and is really in leafy Cheshire rather than real Manchester. I maintain that Gorton Manchester, where I grew up, is much tougher. We both agree that both places have problems but they are basically sound.

Looks like Duchess Fergie is off to patronise the peasants of Wythenshawe on telly tonight though, so others can decide how grim it is, or isn't. Having seen the trailers it looks sadly like it will be condescending, stereotypical bullshit in the extreme.

As it's next to Manchester Airport why not visit for your next holiday. I know a lovely little council house with a spare bedroom in Woodhouse Park, then you can make your own mind up.

Bet the snooty cow won't be venturing into Gorton for Part II!

Hypocrites (Part 3)

Hypocrisy [hi-pok-ruh-see]
A pretence of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.

The pinko liberals find one of these images highly witty, the other evil and racist. Stinking hypocrites!

NHS v Private Healthcare

The Club for Growth is one of the main American groups fighting the 'socialisation of medicine', and I wish them well in their campaign, even if some of the campaign statements about the NHS have been somewhat inaccurate. For example, claiming that Stephen Hawking would have been dead if he had to be treated solely by the NHS, not true.

Most politicos, even in the mainstream, accept that nationalisation is not really a good idea, so why leave something as vital as our healthcare to a gargantuan, inefficient, nationalised bureaucracy? It is not free, we pay through our taxes, so why not let us choose how we spend our money on healthcare? Because the NHS is a sacred cow, and they are all too scared to tell the truth about it, or being seen to even criticise it.

Most of us despise politicians, so why trust them to run our health services?

Following is one of the Club of Growth's US TV commercials:

Lou Reed-Waves Of Fear

Lou Reed is something special, even if I did disagree with him, as it were, at the Hammersmith Odeon, as was, which is fast becoming my 'Penge Bungalow Murders' event but sadder. I like this:

Inglourious Basterds-Quentin Tarantino

The master is back:

Unpaid, unashamed plug. The man is a genius.

Coming soon, to a cinema near you.

American Healthcare

With all the fuss about US critics of the NHS I thought the following might be interesting viewing:

Then Dick Morris goes on to savage Obama on healthcare and much more:

Jim Fitzpatrick, Hero Or Hypocrite?

Labour minister Jim Fitzpatrick walked out of a Muslim wedding refusing to join in the segregation of men and women. Read all about it.

Is he right to say that enough is enough, when in Rome they should do as the Romans do? Or is he a two faced hypocrite who should practice what he preaches?

He's a stinking two faced hypocrite in my opinion. His party has preached multi-culturalism for years, anybody questioning it falling foul of the state's thought police. Now it has affected him he opposes that aspect of which he personally disapproves.

Try demonstrating your disapproval of Islamic extremism if you live on a sink estate, PC Plod will feel your collar faster than you can say allah akbar.

Reap what you've sown Jim!

Hazel Blears-Nice One Salford!

I'm a Mancunian but have always had a real soft spot for Salford, and it's just gone right up in my estimation. Hazel Blears, aka 'The Runt', has had her car vandalised. Brilliant!

She whines about it being 'mindless anti-social behaviour'. So, what do you call bombing the shit out of Iraq and Afghanistan? What do you call fiddling your expenses you ugly little runt?

If there are problems with 'anti-social behaviour' it's thanks to the pinko liberal political consensus and it's poisonous social policies.

Shut it Blears and take your medicine.

Stupid Tory Gimmicks

Cameron is proving himself to be a bigger prat by the day or, to coin his phrase, a bigger twat.

Open up your candidate selection process to primary elections and see your voluntary activists, those that are left, bugger off el rapido. Selecting the candidate is one of the few benefits of belonging to a political party for many people, and now Dave is on his way to removing that benefit. So why should anybody bother?

I would prefer to have a candidate that actually believed in the party's principles and truly represents the idealogy of that party. What the people of Totnes will have as a Tory candidate is a bland figure who pleased 8,000 punters, many of whom may not even be Tories.

So what's the point of now having an election? Maybe to see who can out-bland all the other parties.

On the other hand, a primary in Mr Cameron's constituency? Now you're talking!

Harriet Harman v Edwina Currie

No, God forbid, I am not suggesting a naked mud wrestling competition between them, but am enjoying their little spat this week. Well, it was more Edwina Currie having a pop in The Times at the brainless bitch currently queening it as Deputy Prime Minister, Harriet the Harridan.

Harriet thinks men couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery and need to have a woman alongside in any responsible position. Utter bollocks obviously but it does suggest that if, as Harridan believes, men and women are so fundamentally different then equality is crap, there must be some jobs men are good at, some women are good at, so let's 'discriminate' surely. Of course she is talking bollocks, I don't care if the cabinet is all men or all women as long as they can do the job, which this lot evidently can't.

So for the first time I can remember I agree wholeheartedly with Edwina Currie and commend to you her article from The Times below:

The woman is mad, that is now clear. On a different planet. Leave aside that this is hardly a ringing endorsement of Gordon Brown or that, every time she speaks, another Labour seat falls to the Tories, who are clapping her gleefully from the sidelines.

What she is spouting is rabid nonsense, and morally repugnant. Firstly, we need the best people to run the country, irrespective of gender. I’d have thought that was a statement of the obvious, but it has passed Ms Harman by. In addition, women who have experienced discrimination should be wary of applying it to others, on principle.

All-women shortlists have brought more females into the Commons, but not improved its performance. Of course, it should be illegal to promote only on the basis of colour, religion, or gender — and it is. Certainly much better than 40 years ago, when I needed a man’s signature to open a bank account. But we long since got to that point, and beyond. What’s upsetting is the gap between Harriet’s priorities and the nation’s real needs. Here we are, struggling with the mother and father of all recessions, with the worst government deficit and national debt in recorded history, in which everyone is desperately trying to hang on to their jobs and pay the mortgage. Then there’s the war in Afghanistan and the terrible toll of young soldiers sent to fight it.

So Harriet is not only barking up the wrong tree, she is making the Government look even more irrelevant than it is. Her obsessions are those of an over-educated, well-off, middle-class woman who has no worries about where her money is coming from: our pockets, of course. She should go and talk to real working women, or a mother whose school-age children carry knives for protection, or elderly women scared of contracting MRSA in hospital, or the mother of a young rifleman going to Helmand. Then tell them that she, Harriet, should be running the country.

The quicker she faces them all at the ballot box, the better.

Absolutely spot on I say!

No More Martyrs!

Even Roman Catholic bishops seem to have been brainwashed by the health and safety fascists. Yesterday the priest refused to put the host on my tongue, I was brought up the old fashioned way that touching it once consecrated was a sin. I know many will find this quaint, in fact find the whole religion thing bizarre, but that's one of the things that makes us all so different, and interesting.

The main point is that the priest kindly explained after mass that the bishop had ordered priests not to place the host on peoples' tongues for fear of swine flu. No communion wine either.

So future risk assessments will ensure no more martys. "Sorry Joan, go home, that kind of stuff could lead to you being burnt alive!"

Anyway, it was not the Bishop of Lancaster, we are currently in a cold, wet Cornwall where there is little access to the internet. So if you want the odd rant I will be Tweeting, see the sidebar.

Hypocrites (Part 2)

Hypocrisy [hi-pok-ruh-see]
A pretence of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.

Hypocrisy has always riled me, it must be one of the most unpleasant human traits. I would much rather somebody be brutally honest than hypocritical. There was an excellent example of crass hypocrisy this week.

My wife was out and about in Lancaster and bumped into an old friend of mine. We lost touch about 10 months or so ago, as people do. We are all guilty I suspect, of losing touch with people at some time or other. It happens and that's life, the longer you have not been in contact the more difficult making contact somehow becomes.

But this particular person gushed and smarmed and declared how he had 'tried to contact me a couple of times' blah-blah-blah. For God's sake, people lose touch! Accept it but don't bullshit, especially in this day and age. What does 'tried to make contact' mean? He has my landline number, my mobile number, my email address. He is an hour away by car if there is some kind of mega communication breakdown. But I know he is not the kind of person to fail a simple task like contacting somebody.

He hadn't bothered to try and contact me and I hadn't him either, that's life. Just admit it, there's no shame. Or just don't mention it, but please don't bullshit that really is crass hypocrisy.

OK, in the scheme of things it isn't up there with mass murder, rape or animal buggery. But it says a helluva lot about the culprit's character.

By contrast an old mate, who I lost touch with after a disagreement three or more years ago, turned up on our doorstep last week. We had a pint and he apologised for his part in the falling out and I apologised for my part, it was actually a 50:50 thing, silly misunderstandings that we both overreacted to. But neither of us bullshitted, meaning neither of us was hypocritical, and we are good buddies again, thankfully. The hypocrite on the other hand, can piss right off, and we haven't fallen out.

I've no doubt we all do things in our lives that are, or appear, hypocritical at some time, but we try not to. However, there are people who seem to think hypocrisy is a valid tactic in the field of human interaction. They are the ones I despise.

Legalising Drugs

At least this report accepts that current drug policy isn't working. But as ever it recommends tinkering around the edges, which will have little impact.

The biggest problems with drugs arise from their illegality, it's quite simple really. Legally the use can be regulated in the way that alcohol is. OK there wll always be abuse, but remember that prohibition of alcohol in the USA gave that country a huge organised crime problem that they are still dealing with.

It's time to be brave.

Hypocrites (Part 1)

Hypocrisy [hi-pok-ruh-see]
A pretence of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.

Now then, I have wondered for some time if this scenario represents the definition of hypocrisy, airing it might help me decide. Maybe 'X' in this scenario is the personification of hypocrisy, if such a thing exists. Let's see:

Imagine 'X' is your political party's chairman for your region, let's say the North West of England. You are voted to lead that party list for a forthcoming election to public office. However, things you have witnessed over a period of time make you uneasy and you have doubts. So, over a period of time you regularly meet 'X' for a lunchtime curry, to discuss your concerns.

'X' has a deep hatred for 'Y', seen widely as your rival. 'X' has a hatred of 'Y' that runs so deep that he won't even accept a dink from 'Y' at a meeting at a local hotel. 'X' urges you to fight if only to keep 'Y' out.

You explain that you feel the party leader is a charlatan lacking morals, principles and real belief, 'X' agrees with you and proclaims his belief that the party is going nowhere. This convinces you that you must do the right thing and step down. 'X' cries: "No, that will allow 'Y' in, don't do it."

He then urges you to remain on the list, get elected, then immediately stand down to become an independent. For you that was another nail in the party's coffin. You stood down.

Some months later 'X' stood for the party's ruling body, proposed by guess who? Yes, you guessed it, 'Y'.

'X' is now on the ruling body, and 'Y' is in a very, very senior position.

And you think the three old parties have 'a pretence of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that they do not not really possess!'

Another Turd Flushed Away

Labour MP Howard Stoate has said he will quit at the next election because new second jobs rules mean he will no longer be able to practise as a GP.

Of course the poor chap just wants to continue healing the sick while his government makes the country sick. I'm sure his decision has nothing to do with the following:

His expenses details were highlighted in the Telegraph which reported he had claimed £55,836 in four years, for a flat 15 miles from his constituency home, on which he paid no rent or mortgage.

So, he found it necessary, living in Dartford, to claim a second home allowance. If you don't know Dartford, his constituency, is about an hour from London and Westminster.

But he tried to soften the blow of being caught, corruptly in my view, claiming a second home allowance this way:

He said his claims had always been modest and his flat had been in an appalling condition when he bought it but he had done most of the repairs and refurbishments himself - many of the claims had been for DIY equipment.

So being an MP and a GP at the same time left him lots of spare time to do DIY, indeed to 'refurbish' his flat. Poor sod really sweats his nuts off for our tax money doesn't he?

But I suppose if we tied up all our MPs with well paid second jobs, they would have less time to spend in Parliament passing stupid legislation and bossing us about. A bit like the good old days really.

Still, good riddance you stinking shit!

Germany's Last Territorial Demand

Thomas Cook have learnt nothing from history and are still appeasing German territorial ambitions according to the BBC news website.

The early morning ritual of draping a beach towel over a coveted sun lounger to reserve it may soon be a thing of the past for some German tourists.

The travel firm Thomas Cook is giving Germans the option of pre-booking their loungers when they choose their next Mediterranean holiday package.

So far, the offer only applies to winter holidays booked in Germany.

Nine hotels have joined the scheme to stop "beach towel wars", which see many Germans accused of hogging loungers.

Reserving a lounger and beach umbrella in advance will cost about three euros (£2.60) a day, on top of the holiday package.

Thomas Cook is offering the option at nine hotels in Turkey, Egypt and the Canary Islands.

For a weekly rate of 49 euros per room a family can reserve one lounger for each person, along with a beach umbrella and their own dining table at six Egyptian hotels.

The offer has only just come out, so it is too early to say how popular it will be, a Thomas Cook statement said.

One of the firm's managers, Peter Fankhauser, said that "with this we're relieving our clients of early morning stress".

He said he too found it "really tiresome" on holiday to be sent out by his wife early in the morning to place beach towels on the desired poolside loungers, Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported.

Iain Dale

Last night I was in Radcliffe, Manchester to watch FC United beat Radcliffe Borough 3-2 in a pre-season friendly. On the way back I listened to TalkSport for the first time in ages and was unfortunate to hear Iain Dale, 'Conservative Blogger', on the Ian Collins show.

Occasionally I look at Iain Dale's blog and wonder how he has built such a profile. As for his 'Total Politics' magazine, in our household it's renamed 'Total Drivel'. What a con man.

Then last night I heard him and realised why the Tory Party is beyond help. The man is vacuous and must have an arse covered in splinters from sitting on the fence. He even managed to sit on the fence about political bias in the BBC. He is everything that is bad with the Tory Party under Cameron.

He claims that a Tory landslide at the general election would be unhealthy, and he claims to be a Tory. He belittled the support for Margaret Thatcher when she was leader claiming that the Tory victory in '79 was really an anti-Labour government vote. I don't know how old Dale was in '79 but thanks to Mrs Thatcher the Tories were winning seats in Labour areas they probably never will again, because of Mrs T's character and ideolgy. We can revise that if we want, and maybe a new Mrs T is not what we need now, but we certainly needed her then.

And he must have pissed off younger Tory supporters by constantly sneering at them for 'not being cool'. Well, tell you what Iain, you sounded like an effeminate Tory leaning pinko liberal opportunist, the epitomy of not cool, or should that be 'cool not'?

When he scoffed at his old university, East Anglia, and informed us that he and his friends referred to it as 'Easy Access', I listened to Iain Dale and knew what he meant.

But finally thank you Iain, you convinced me, as if I needed it, that the Tory Party is still a sick joke, probably beyond help and certainly not fit to waste a vote on. Well done 'Conservative blogger'.

This Sick Labour Government

If there is one story that epitomises the vile nature of this Government then it is surely this one. They go rampaging into foreign countries when they feel like it, sending our soldiers to death, many because they are poorly equipped, then treat the injured like pariahs.

The Government is launching an appeal over two soldiers who won massive increases in compensation paid for injuries.

Light Dragoon Anthony Duncan, who now walks with crutches after being shot while on patrol in Iraq, was originally awarded £9,250 which was increased to £46,000 by an appeal tribunal.

Royal Marine Matthew McWilliams fractured his thigh in a military exercise and was awarded £8,250, increased to £28,750 on appeal.

The High Court upheld the higher awards, ruling that the Ministry of Defence argument that there should be a distinction between the original injury and later complications was "absurd".

Now the MoD is taking the case to the Court of Appeal, where lawyers are expected to claim the pair should be compensated only for the initial injuries and not subsequent health problems.

It is being heard as the death toll in Afghanistan continues to rise, with a British soldier becoming the 20th to die this month.

Since the start of operations in 2001, 189 British service personnel have been killed.

And to think, over 6,000 people in Norwich North still voted for the Labour Party. Makes you wonder.

Politics, Cash and Votes

One thing is certain in politics, money alone will not get you elected.

My advice to the Libertarian Party was not to splash the cash in the Norwich North by-election, spend the minimum and regard it as a learning curve. Our young candidate Thomas, 18 years old and awaiting 'A' level results, worked hard but missed cracking the 1%. But it was excellent experience for Thomas, and for a young party standing in our first parliamentary election.

Contrast that with Craig Murray who spent £46,000 to garner just over 3% of the vote, thus also losing his £500 deposit. Those who thought my advice may have been over cautious, pessimistic or jaded by years of experience in smaller party politics, may like to reconsider. Murray also had a much higher profile in Norwich than some of the by-election candidates but fine motives, and a wad of cash don't get you elected.

I know the European elections are different, using a form of proportional representation, but look at the BNP results in June. They spent very little, their opponents generating much of their publicity, and they got two MEPs elected. In June people expressed their fears to me that the BNP were on the verge of a major breakthrough. My view was that European elections are different, people know MEPs are worthless so the few who do vote tend to protest vote more readily than usual. A few weeks after getting an MEP elected, in the Eastern Region, the BNP got 3%, less than Craig Murray, in the Norwich North by-election in that same Eastern Region.

So yes, resources are crucial but there is another huge obstacle to breaking the mould of British politics, as the SDP found in the 1980s, the public. After 12 years of New Labour the public, as always happens after a few years of Labour government, are desperate to get them out. But they only look at who is most likely to do that and, with the establishment and the media feeding off our three party system, that inevitably means the Conservative Party sadly. In the countries of the UK other than England you will get a few nationalists elected and others but here it will be Tories and a few Liberal Democrats, God help us!

What is needed now, more than ever, is for people to vote for what they actually believe in rather than for 'the best of a bad bunch'. I talk to people all the time who express certain political views, such as Libertarianism, but then admit they will vote in a way to get Labour out come the general election, usually meaning Tory. Get some bottle people, and vote for what you want and believe in, that's how real change comes about.

Don't please think that proportional representation is the answer. 'First past the post' rarely ends in clueless middle of the road coalitions, after months of bickering, but PR gave us two BNP MEPs. But that is perhaps another argument to have.

Now I'm off to watch ITV4's excellent coverage of Le Tour de France entering Paris. I may even blog later about it on This Sporting Life.

Tory Gimmicks

The vacuous Cameronite Tory Party have held the UK's first primary in Torbay,Devon.

Anthony Steen fiddled his expenses and is standing down, so the three hoping to succeed him spoke at a public hustings yesterday, then the public will decide who the Tory candidate will be. Full story.

Meanwhile here in Lancashire we know there is an election due because we get our four yearly out of the blue Tory leaflet through the letter box yesterday. It's obvious there is a general election due because this time our councillors are holding surgeries and they include a welcome to the PPC on the leaflet. Not very subtle.

Rather than gimmicks I'd like Cameron and co to actually tell us what they believe. Problem is that would only confirm them to be 'Blue Labour'.

Jeremy Clarkson In The Shit Again!

Good old Clarkson has upset the puritans again, well done that man.

In front of an audience, but not being filmed for broadcast, he used the 'c' word. A bit naughty but I assume the audience were there because they knew something about the man and they probably loved it. Here is what he said:

Clarkson, 49, was talking about government policy and said: "The reason you can't do that is because Gordon Brown is a ----."

Here is the full story.

Let's be honest now, who hasn't called Gordon Brown a c*nt?

And finally, if the puritans hadn't gone into overdrive in kicking up such a fuss, only a relatively small group would have ever known.

Get The Vermin Off Our Streets!

Here is the sad tale of how traffic wardens are getting all stressed because they have to meet targets when victimising motorists.

Well if you will get a job that involves behaving like vermin what do you expect? Don't expect symapthy from me, I would love to see traffic wardens swept off our streets just like we do with rats.

How nice to think of them sat at home in the evening sobbing and unable to sleep. Hopefully!

Michael Moore-Fat Shit!

I was reminded last night that it is a long time since I gratuitously abused fat pinko liberal shit Michael Moore. Well now I have abused the fat dog turd eating bearded nancy boy, quite gratuitously!

MOOREWATCH

Barack Obama Losing the Plot

His campaign was vacuous, his poll ratings are much worse than President Nixon's at a similar time in his Presidency and now, according to this report, Barack Obama is losing the plot.

Let's face it, he makes Tony Blair look like an intellectual heavyweight.

Norwich North By-Election Result

Chloe Smith (Conservative): 13591 votes. 45.3%
Chris Ostrowski (Labour): 6243 votes. 20.8%
April Pond (Lib Dem): 4803 votes. 16%
Glenn Tingle (UKIP): 4068 votes.13.6%
Rupert Read (Green): 3350 votes.11.2%
Craig Murray (Put An Honest Man into Parliament): 953 votes. 3.2%
Robert West (British National Party): 941 votes. 3.1%
Bill Holden (Independent): 166 votes. 0.6%
Laud Howling (Official Monster Raving Loony Party): 144 votes. 0.5%
Anne Fryatt (None of The Above Party): 59 votes. 0.2%
Thomas Burridge (Libertarian Party): 36 votes. 0.1%
Peter Baggs (Independent): 23 votes. 0.1%

What really shocks me is that 6243 morons still voted Labour.

Le Tour de France, Lance Armstrong

The prospect of British cyclists Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins joining Lance Armstrong's new team in 2010 is fantastic, even if it is a dream. Here is what Lance Armstrong has said about the prospect in this interview :

“That's not true,” Armstrong said. “Nothing against them, I love those guys.

“We haven't approached them. They both have contracts [with their present teams]. I certainly wouldn't say no, but I don't want to get into that mess of dealing with guys in contracts. Great dudes, though. Cav's a good kid. He's damn fast.”

I reckon that means that once this Tour is done the negotiations will begin to extricate them from their current contracts so that next year they will be helping Lance Armstrong win his eighth Tour.

What a prospect. Alberto Contador looks unstoppable this year and will deservedly win in Paris on Sunday, but I'm already excited about next year's Tour de France.

Livestrong.

Racist Attacks By MBPA Continue

The racist Metropolitan Black Police Association is continuing its campaign against the Metropolitan Police. It is now calling the head of the police watchdog 'a racist'. Pot and kettle spring to mind.

Full pathetic story here.

Like cries of rape that prove malicious, claims of racism that prove malicious should be severely punished perhaps then the MBPA will stop making these claims that invariably prove unfounded and malicious.

In fact it makes sense to abolish the MBPA as a starter to helping 'race relations'.

72 Year Old Woman Should Be Sectioned Not Pregnant

The thought of a 72 year old woman becoming pregnant through IVF is vile and disgusting. If she lives to be 90 she may see her child celebrate its 18th birthday. I am 49 and find myself going to bed earlier and earlier and that is without looking after a child. You only have to talk to parents with young children to recognise the physical and mental effort looking after children involves.

Putting aside morality, there must come a time when we say to scientists enough is enough. We age for a reason and women become unable to bear children for a reason, and that is determined not by man but nature. This woman is dangerous and, having just seen her interviewed on breakfast TV, is quite obviously mentally ill and should be sectioned.

The irresponsible people who gave her IVF treatment should never be allowed to practice medicine ever again.

Contrast that with people who have the odd cigarette being barred from fostering and it says eveything about society in the 21st century.

Tom Daley's Dad

The media are looking at Tom Daley's dad in quite a critical way for asking him for a cuddle after the 15 year old won gold at the World Diving Championships in Rome. This piece is from the Daily Mail.

Personally I would have waited until I was alone with my son before being so demonstrative, because I can still imagine how embarrassed I would have been when I was fifteen, his dad did it in an international press conference you see. Having said that I've never been in the position of seeing my son, especially at 15, become a world champion.

The main point is that this is the media, and the Daily Mail is the worst of the lot, that rattle on constantly about bad parents who should be flogged, then criticise an apparently excellent parent for showing pride in his son and his achievement, even if it was a bit OTT.

But worst of all this is the media who create emotional incontinence in the country when a celebrity dies, Princess Diana and Michael Jackson spring to mind, by publishing vomit inducing sycophantic 'memorial issues' etc., etc., then elsewhere in the rag have a reporter bemoaning aforementioned emotional incontinence amongst the populace.

You can't win really with the media.

Ayn Rand Interviews

Following is a series of interviews with Ayn Rand, hosted by Phil Donahue, soon after her husband, Frank O'Connor died in 1979:

Corporate State

One of the defining features of fascism was/is corporatism. In early June there were 20 ministers in Brown's government from the House of Lords, unelected. They represent a range of interest groups, largely big business but also other sections of 'the state'. Corporatism in other words.

If you aren't worried about our loss of freedom, liberty and the perversion of true free market capitalism, which is largely the reason for the current mess, I think you should be.

Here are Lawrence Britt's 14 Principles of Fascism. I'm not saying that all fourteen apply absolutely to our current State, but I would say that most do and others have been updated, such as racism. Race is now used by 'anti-racists' just as vilely as 'racists' in the past used it, two sides of the same coin.

Scouse Vasectomy

After having their 11th child, a Liverpool couple decided that was enough, as the social wouldn't buy them a bigger bed and they weren't strong, or smart enough to steal one.

The husband went to his doctor and told him that he and his wife didn't want to have any more children.

The doctor told him there was a procedure called a vasectomy that would fix the problem, but it was expensive. A less costly alternative was to go home, get a firework, light it, put it in a beer can, then hold the can up to his ear and count to 10.

The Scouser said to the doctor, 'I may not be the smartest guy in the world, but I don't see how putting a firework in a beer can next to my ear is going to help me.'

'Trust me, it will do the job', said the doctor.

So the man went home, lit a banger and put it in a beer can. He held the can up to his ear and began to count:

'1, 2, 3, 4, 5,'

at which point he paused, and placed the beer can between his legs so he could continue counting on his other hand.

This procedure also works in Yorkshire, Wales and parts of Ireland!
Thanks for that one Sue.

Nuremberg Trials or the European Parliament?

I only had the misfortune to visit the European 'parliament' a couple of times. But one thing always struck me, how so many MEPs, sat looking bloody miserable with their headphones on, looked like defendants at war crime trials.

See what I mean?

Redneck Games

I've been to the Highland Games, the Basque Games, San Fermin in Pamplona and many others, now I want to go to Georgia for the Redneck Games. Report from Ananova:

More than 10,000 competititors have been taking part in events from watermelon-seed-spitting to armpit-squelching at this year's Redneck Games.

The most popular contest of the games, which take place in the small US town of East Dublin in Georgia, is the mud-pit belly-flop.

Fully clothed contestants throw themselves into a vat of red mud clay with points awarded for beauty of form and the size of the splash produced.

In other disciplines, competitors bobbed for pigs trotters and attempted to replicate the sound of breaking wind in the 'armpit serenade'.

Eric "Iron Head" Outler emerged triumphant, trotter in mouth, from the bobbing competition after removing pigs feet in under 21 seconds in one round, and under 16 seconds in another.

For his troubles he received a trophy that consisted of a half crushed, empty mounted beer can.

The Redneck Games were first held in 1996 as a spoof of the Olympic Games which were then being held in Atlanta.
I could even compete, in the 'armpit serenading' event.

But can anything beat welly chucking, cheese rolling or gurning? I think not.

Afghanistan, Iraq And War Criminals

Blair, Brown and others deserve putting on trial once the disasters of Afghanistan and Iraq are over and our troops are home. Here is the full litany of how they not only invaded foreign sovereign states but did it, and carry on, while putting our troops in unneccessary added danger by underfunding and under supplying them.

Brown and his minnions are now scurrying around claiming that the action in Afghanistan is making the UK a safer place. Oh really?

Over the last 30 years many of us felt much more in danger from the IRA than we have felt in the last few years from Al Qaeda. In the past I've been very close to several bomb attacks by the IRA as have family members, including the Manchester bomb, the '96 one as well as the two in the 1970s, and the Canary Wharf bomb. I was sat on a train at Charing Cross when the London Bridge bomb went off and was in London when the Bishopgate bomb was detonated by the IRA.

I don't remember the British government threatening to invade the Irish Republic or the USA, who arguably gave much more support to Irish republican terrorists than Afghanistan has to Al Qaeda. And Sinn Fein/IRA are now power-sharing!

It would be nice to one day see a great Soviet or Nuremberg style show trial with the current batch of war criminals, and those retired, getting their comeuppence.

Now that's off my chest I'll go and start Richard North's book Ministry of Defeat, reviewed here.

Germany And The Secret State

This report claims that 17,000 German civil servants, including senior police administrators, were members of the East German Stasi, the secret state security service.

Der Spiegel also carries this report about East Germans pining for the days of communism.

It makes interesting reading, especially when you compare the developing state surveillance and intrusion into our private lives. I am always struck, when reading these pieces, at the way our democracy increasingly resembles the totalitarian states we opposed during the Cold War.

Tattoo Girl Lied

A Belgian teenager who had threatened to sue a tattoo artist who left her with 56 stars on her face has admitted she was lying.

Kimberley Vlaeminck, 18, claimed that she'd asked for three small stars but fell asleep during the procedure and woke up with a whole galaxy on her face.

Now she's confessed she knew exactly what tattoo parlour owner Rouslan Toumaniantz was doing but changed her mind later.

Kimberley only made her admission after being caught on a hidden camera by Belgium TV show De Jakhalzen saying the only thing she hadn't been sure of were the stars on her nose.

She had demanded £10,000 compensation to have the stars removed by laser treatment.

Mr Toumaniantz had insisted that she "got what she wanted" at the Tattoo Boy studio in Courtrai - and only complained when her dad got angry and her boyfriend dumped her.

No surprise really that a girl having a tattoo is stupid, I thought it was a requirement.

Iraq And Afghanistan-Time To Leave

We should never have gone into either Iraq or Afghanistan. If my country had been invaded as those two countries were, I too would now be joining forces with people I may despise normally to fight the invader. Sadly our troops are being killed for an unjust war and the government should be got rid of for that reason, regardless of what they have done to the economy.

If the 'war on terror' is used to justify invading Afghanistan then what about any number of other countries that could be invaded on that pretext?

In additon to invading countries being morally wrong, Afghanistan is such an alien and complex society that 'victory', whatever that may be, is highly unlikely.

Here is an excellent article about Afghanistan by Matthew Parris.

San Fermin-Pamplona

Sadly there has been a death today in Pamplona, the first in years, and a Manchester University student is in hospital after being gored. Generously the town of Pamplona pay to fly dead people home, the man today was from Madrid.

San Fermin is something everybody should get to at least once, it really is spectacular. The bull running is only part of the fiesta, admittedly the best part:

Libertarian Party-Open Your Mind

BBC and New Labour

This clip has been shown elsewhere and I nicked it from Mark Wadsworth's Blog. It's well worth promoting in a scary kind of way. We've all known it for some time, here now is proof:

Mark found it on Fausty's Blog.

MP in Au Pair Scandal

It's a sad sign of the times when a scandal involving an MP and an au pair is not sexual but financial.

Tory MP Jonathan Djanogly has been accused of paying his au pair from his allowances. The millionaire Tory claims he was actually paying a cleaner. His family only spend on average 3 days a week in that particular home so £400 a month sounds a bloody good deal for that particular cleaner/au pair.

I must admit the expenses thing is getting dreary now. A good old fashioned sex scandal would be very interesting at the moment. Mind you in these politically correct times it would probably involve Lady Mandy and some fresh faced young researcher. Yuk!

The Race Gestapo

A project which involved sending out fake CVs in a bid to expose racism cost the taxpayer almost £170,000, the government has acknowledged.

The frightening thing is that people have sat on their lazy backsides and allowed the race relations lobby to act in whatever way it sees fit, regardless of the ethics and morality of those actions.

What is funny is I know somebody who received one of these fake job applications, they were so obvious that of course the fake was immediately offered an interview. Their suspicions were confirmed when invited fake then immediately withdrew the perfect application.

Full sorry tale here.

The Vulgarity of the Football Fan

Football seems to mirror the nation, quite apt I suppose in our case as football did originate here. Top class football is a vulgar corporate mess of greed and obscenity that lost its soul to money some time in the '80s.

Many of us who followed what are now Premier League clubs from birth have gone, walked away probably never to return. Some of us now follow FC United of Manchester others follow other non-league clubs. Apart from Manchester United and the Glazers, there was Wimbledon, shamefully franchised out to Milton Keynes to become the newest parasite club who no proper football fan would pay a penny to watch. Real football people should instead watch AFC Wimbledon, a proper club. Look at the obscenity of Chelsea, Leeds United and many, many others to the pain and anguish of real fans. Yes, incredibly I do actually feel sorry for the genuine Leeds United fans.

If you really care about football, even if you don't, you should buy David Conn's excellent book The Beautiful Game? Conn beautifully details how football has sold any values and decency it had to make a few rich men even richer while the pathetic new football fan empties his pockets like some kind of robot.

So what got me thinking about this today? A pathetic imbecile, who it seems supports Manchester City, accusing me of being bitter because City are now the 'richest club in the world'. Big deal!

Actually it's imbecililc morons like that who have helped destroy football. More interested in the balance sheet than the history or traditions of the game. They're welcome to it.

And just for good measure here's a class piece of work, to a bloody good tune, about the death of football:

State Sponsored Lies

Now the state claims that 'the far right' are planning a major terrorist attack to break down 'community cohesion'. What cohesion?

Utter bollocks! Yet another excuse for the state to suppress freedom and democracy.

Here's the story.

Michael Jackson captivated by Shaheen Jafargholi on YouTube

I wonder why?

The biggest night of 12-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi’s life was meant to come next Monday — he was due to sing a duet with Michael Jackson at the singer’s comeback London concerts at the O2 arena.

Instead, the Britain’s Got Talent finalist found himself on stage as the sole British performer alongside the grandees of showbusiness at Jackson’s memorial service.

Ronnie Biggs Or Politicians?

We all know the story of Ronnie Biggs and how an innocent man died some years later from injuries received in the robbery, but surely enough is enough. Biggs is an old man in ill health and probably not long for this world. Jack Straw and the government are making him suffer because of their sheer petty-minded vindictiveness. He is no danger to the public and should be released immediately.

Meanwhile this report, from the BBC tells the shocking tale of how assorted murderers, robbers and rapists are still wandering the streets after doing a bunk while out on parole, on licence and whatever other packages the government has to help convicts prepare for release.

Perhaps it's time we released Ronnie Biggs and banged Jack Straw up in his old cell. While we're at it we could bang up the last few Home Secretaries too. The last couple of Prime Ministers could do with a spot of chokey as well. In fact let's get another jail built for a few thousand politicians from the last 25 years or more, after all, we need to get all the dangerous nutters off the streets don't we?

Ideas Above Your Station? You're Sectioned

This article by Christopher Booker yesterday is very disturbing.

A man who is distantly related to some European royals, and has relatives in senior positions in the army, asks to collect his children from within the school gates for security reasons.

As the government constantly tell us how loony terrorists lurk around every corner, this chap seems to be doing the best by his family. Either that or he might be slightly eccentric, either way he didn't deserve what came next.

When he and his wife turned up at the school to collect his offspring they were nicked. He was sectioned under the mental health act for "delusional beliefs" and his children taken into care.

The social services, no surprise there, and the police had to release him a couple of days later when he was proved to be perfectly sane. That is an act of fascism.

Those who claim they have nothing to hide so nothing to fear from ID cards, CCTV etc., etc. take note. Wake up and realise that the state and all its agents are to be feared, whether you are innocent or not.

What Terror Threat?

Sir John Sawers wife plastered all sorts of personal information on the internet via Facebook, details such as where their flat in London is, names of friends and so on. The story is in today's Mail on Sunday.

You don't have to be George Smiley to think that this raises questions about the next head of MI6. It seems that he has also told all kinds of extended family members and friends that he is about to become "C", or maybe his wife did. Either way, his security has obviously been compromised as well as his judgement being brought into question.

But Miliband, the Foreign Secretary, doesn't think it's a big deal. In that case Miliband, why all the draconian anti-terror legislation against the ordinary citizens of the UK?

Pat Buchanan On Honduras

This article by Pat Buchanan says it all about the stinking hypocrisy of Barack Obama, Hugo Chavez and the vile mess of corruption that is the United Nations.

Once again, we should applaud those who ousted the anti-democratic President Zelaya, thus protecting the democratic constituton of Honduras.

Thanks to T Bishop Finger for pointing out the article.

Dick Morris On Barack Obama

Friday Funday

I thought the 70s were pretty good actually:

Wonder when we'll have another civil war? The politicians seem to want to piss us off enough to kick it off tomorrow.

Glass Balconies

To somebody who unexpectedly found the London Eye a scary experience this is a bizarre concept that I will avoid like the plague.

Honduras-Restoring Democracy

I spent some time in Honduras in 1990, mainly in San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa and a little town on the Gulf of Fonseca called Cedeno (pictured). On the beach at Cedeno there was a constant passing above of UN helicopters flying between listening posts in Nicaragua on one side and El Salvador on the other. But Honduras was stable.

Last week there was a coup after their right of centre president decided to go loopy and declare himself socialist. He then allied himself with Chavez in Venezuela and Morales in Bolivia. Just like these anti-democratic socialists Zelaya then started to dismantle Honduras's democratic constitution. Last week he was overthrown, an interim government is in place and democracy will imminently be restored.

It is always sad when the military intervene but in Latin America they are essential. The Honduran military were left with no option. There is a history in Latin America of leftist despots blighting and impoverishing the country with the military eventually intervening to restore democracy. Alvaro Vargas Losa, of the Independent Institute takes a slightly less positive view in this article, which is well worth a read. He believes upcoming constitutional votes would have rejected Zelaya's march to dictatorship. I disagree, I believe Zelaya would have made sure he won, one way or the other. Or, like the EU he would have just come back from a slightly different angle, with the result he wanted.

When faced with socialism I'm all for military intervention, with a swift return to democracy.

Another Turd Flushed Away

Another Labour MP, Harry Cohen, has decided to step down because he is suffering "stress" after being found out screwing the taxpayer.

Let's hope he has a long and happy retirement, preferably in a straightjacket. Or maybe after a few months in clink following a fraud investigation. Sod it, both!

How the hell does he think he can get way with claiming thousands in second home allowance when he represents an East London seat?

Here is the BBC coverage.
