I have said for some time that I believe the next UK general election will be in June 2009, to coincide with the Euro elections. Now I'm not much of a gambler but I have had a look at the odds and June '09 is 5/1 and May '10 evens. So, according to them I think that makes June '09 second favourite.

I do NOT believe the GE can coincide.
I understand El.Com. has declared it unacceptable to hold more than one election in the same period if they have different structures.
The GE is FPTP
The EU sham election is based on selection of Party sycophants from appointed lists on a partial PR basis.
This declaration by El.Com. comes about as a result of the total debacle of the Scottish elections a couple of years ago where confusion led to the disenfranchisement of a high percentage of those who wished to vote.
To have the same problem twice manifest would be morally reprehensible!
Silly me I fogot we are talking about politicians.
Maybe you had best put your money on as politicians are in percentage terms more commonly morally reprehensible!
