Ecstasy Downgrade Considered

According to this story from the BBC.

Would legalising drugs really have a detrimental effect on 'our children' as those opposed to legalisation like to claim? I don't think it would be any worse than having legalised alcohol. Indeed legalisation would largely remove the malign influence of those who sell all kinds of stuff to people illegally. Just a thought.

Too true. Drug legalisation will decimate organised crime and much criminality. Drug peddlers are no better than welfare scroungers, dependant on the State for their living. Their malign influence and their twisted sense of power, respect, and prestige is more dangerous than the narcotics.

Gregg, this is exactly the sort of thing that was missing from your article on libertarianism on the UKIP site!
