A Nation of Wimps

Political correctness has inevitably dragged us down to a level where our forebears would regard us as a nation of mincing softies lacking any kind of courage or backbone. We can't be far off the end game now. We have the sorry situation where the British Army is targeting gays and ethnic minorities because the army should be 'representative of the current demographic'. Bullshit. I don't care about the army representing the current populace, I just want the best army possible to defend our country be that 100% white, black, gay or heterosexual. We should be recruiting the very best not targeting those we misguidedly believe to be under represented.

Meanwhile the peasants on social media are targeting Ann Widdecombe with pitchforks at the ready and no doubt a pyre prepared ready to burn the heretic. Her sin? She declared her belief that Prince Harry's bride to be would be trouble for the royal family with her background. Fair enough if that's what you believe. But the peasant uprising was triggered by cries of racism. Yes, our old friend racism has reared its head yet again for no apparent reason other than the racial obsession of the politically correct. Markle describes herself as being mixed race as her mother has a shot of African in her ancestry somewhere. So in these strange times in which we live criticising somebody who describes themselves as mixed race is racism. But all intelligent, rational people know it isn't.

What started me on this post was actually a radio programme I heard last week when driving from Lancashire to Sussex. It was the Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2. Yes, I know, I should have swapped channels but it was my equivalent of rubber necking as I pass a terrible accident, it was so bad I had to carry on and couldn't bear the idea of switching channels. When I was studying for my degree there was an option to study TV and film history which I resisted for a long time thinking it was the History (my degree) equivalent of media studies. In the end I gave in and really enjoyed studying films such as The Battleship Potemkin and TV series such as Play For Today. TV and film really are excellent pointers to the times in which they were made and the prevailing cultural and political environment. Last week's radio experience says everything about our new status as a nation of wimps, in years to come people will be shocked at how we let this happen to us.

First up was a woman called Clare Pooley, aka 'Sober Mummy'. If I told you she thought that shortening her pseudonym to 'SM' was a little racy you may get an idea where this is going. Apparently she is an internet phenomenon after giving up booze and blogging about it prior to finally leaving her alias behind and writing a book under her real name. I was immediately drawn in as I work in the 'hospitality industry' and quite enjoy a tipple myself.

So as I hit the M6 toll road I tuned in and heard how her life had been running out of control and she was knocking back booze every night after she had put her offspring to bed just to unwind. But the problem got worse and worse and began to take control of her. The tension mounted and I was having visions of her hiding bottles of whisky, rum and assorted other spirits around the house and eventually necking a bottle of White Lightening for breakfast.  Like me Jeremy Vine must have been desperate to know how bad her addiction was. When pressed she owned up. She was necking a bottle of wine a day, sometimes two at weekends. What a fucking let down, one bottle of wine a day and sometimes two at weekends does not an alcoholic make.

When I was growing up I knew blokes who'd have six pints of beer on their way home from work, guzzle a bottle wine with their evening meal then go out for a few pints after that. The father of a friend of mine, who actually was an alcoholic, used to insist on putting the milk bottles out at night as the rest of the family went to bed. He had a bottle of whisky stashed in the garden and would have a slug or three as he put the bottles out. That's a drink problem.

Clare Pooley is just  another whining, middle class mum claiming victim status and doing a great disservice to people who have been in the absolute gutter of life due to alcoholism and turned their lives around. They're the people I admire and respect. I'm afraid she'll have to kick a habit that involves imbibing a lot more than a bottle of wine a day to get my admiration and respect.

We Are All Scum

Political correctness has created a vile streak of self loathing in certain sections of society and it's being propagated, in no small part, by the education system. If we had kids of school age I would be loathe to send them to state schools which increasingly appear to be nothing more than state indoctrination centres. Last week a teenage lad was reported to the police because he looked at the UK Independence Party website as part of a project on migration. That is nothing less than totalitarian bollocks and the school should be closed down and the staff involved barred from ever going near children again, either professionally or otherwise. If they have children they should be taken from them and adopted by reasonable, tolerant people.

Recently in Rochdale an imam was murdered. The powers that be and the media immediately called for calm among the large muslim population of the town in the light of an act of obviously islamophobic murder by a white, right wing extremist. It was obvious wasn't it? It has now been quietly released that Mohammed Hussain Syeedy has been charged with his murder.

There has been a lot of coverage this last week or two about the sentencing of a paedophile ring in Rotherham. Throughout the BBC coverage the word 'muslim' hasn't been used once in either reports or interviews about the case. I suppose, although there is a pattern of paedophilia in towns with large muslim populations, that to state it would be racist or, God forbid, islamophobic.

Now I'm as broadminded as the next bloke so if a bloke wants to indulge in the ultimate act of self mutilation and chop his penis off then grow a pair of chemically induced breasts then that's his business. But I have the right to question it and profess disapproval if I wish. According to the trainee fascists (aka students, see first paragraph) of York University that would make me 'transphobic' (click on link ). You see in the new politically correct fascist era to question any current orthodoxy makes you a phobic. Question open borders? Xenophobe. Don't approve of gay marriage? Homophobe. Not keen on islam? Islamophobe. Here's a new one: Don't approve of political correctness? Twatophobe.

Then there is Greg Dyke chairman of the English Football Association. Last week he was again banging on about needing more ethnic minorities involved in senior positions in the FA. Why? Why do governing bodies of anything have to be a cross representation of society? Do people who are not white automatically think differently to white people? I don't think so. I've seen many top class football teams in England with a disproportionately high percentage of non-white players. It doesn't bother me. It only ever seems to be white, middle class pinko liberals who obsess about race any more. Back in the 1970s there were virtually no black players in English football, today there are countless. Black players are not in teams because of positive discrimination, they are there on merit. If the do gooders left us all alone and stopped banging on about race we would all rub along very nicely thank you very much. So piss off and leave us alone.

I can't help but conclude that the politically correct, in their arrogant, patronising way regard those of us who are normal as scum, just waiting to  be phobic or guilty of an ism. Well we're not and won't go along with your vile indoctrination.

Lefties and Islam

Witnessing the politically correct leftie brigade bending over backwards to make excuses for the barbaric actions of thousands of muslim migrants across Europe has been a very bizarre experience.

One of the most ridiculous the excuses I've heard is that all men are capable of rape and using events at New Year to tarnish the reputation of muslims is pure racism. Nope, wrong in three ways. It is the behaviour of thousands of muslims that tarnishes the reputation of muslims, indeed if muslims have ever had a good reputation. Secondly Islam is a religion not a race, therefore criticism of it cannot be regarded as racism. Thirdly I, and millions and millions of other men, are not capable of rape.

There were also claims that one man arrested in Cologne was a citizen of the USA therefore you can't blame it on Islam. No course you can't, one man out of thousands across Europe just makes it another fine example of multiculturalism in action doesn't it?

The mayor of Cologne has decided to go head to head with Frau Merkel in the cow-frau of the year race. Rather than sort out the muslim rapists and gropers she is planning guidance for German women in how to dress and behave in ways that do not provoke the sexual deviants who have recently arrived in the Fatherland. Maybe the burka would do the trick? Maybe that's why so many muslim women are happy to cover themselves from head to foot, they know their men have no self-control.

Now the police chief of Vienna, where gangs of muslims also attacked women at New Year, has added his two schillings to the debate by warning women not to go out alone. Tell you what mate, get your police force prepared to actually protect your women from these vile bastards. If you can't do that then don't suddenly find the resources to take action when your population decides to deal with the problem themselves.

Look at muslim countries all over the world and tell me they are the kind of places you would like to live. Generally speaking women have far fewer rights than men. In Saudi Arabia women aren't allowed to drive. Throughout the muslim world execution, often in public, is commonplace, as are public floggings. In many muslim countries women guilty of adultery are stoned to death and thieves have their hands chopped off.

Everywhere muslims pitch up they demand minority rights. Wherever muslims are a majority the rights of minorities are trampled on. How then can lefties defend this and accuse those opposed to the increasing numbers of muslims in Europe racist? It is because their loathing and hatred of the country and people that have given them such freedoms and rights is what drives their destructive political beliefs. Like Islam the creed of political correctness hates the west and all we stand for. Why else would lefties excuse the excesses of Islam when they are supposed to support equality for all?

Finally, if you have to warn women how to dress and behave to avoid being groped or raped by immigrants maybe they are the type of immigrants you really shouldn't have in your country.

Another One Bites The Dust

I'm not a supporter of capital punishment, but there are times when certain events make me, like anybody else, wonder if it's the only option.

Earlier today Frasier Glenn Miller, a 74 year old white supremacist, was sentenced to death by a court in Kansas for the murder of three people, for no other reason than that they were Jewish. As the sentence was announced he shouted 'Heil Hitler'.

To a certain element anti-Semitism, which is frighteningly on the rise in Europe reflecting the rise of militant Islam, seems to be the last socially acceptable form of racism. It's good to see that in the USA at least one judge in one court is taking a serious stand against this sickness.

This Madness Must End

I'd just poured the full fat on my Frosties this morning when a news article popped up from Oxford that had me almost choking on my first mouthful. There is a campaign led by fruitcakes and nutjobs to have a statue of Cecil Rhodes removed from a college wall. Despite the Rhodes Scholarship over many decades funding a great number of academics the politically correct hate mob regard the statue as offensive, nothing new there. Rhodesia the wealthy, prosperous precursor of Mugabe's economic basket case now called Zimbabwe was founded by Rhodes. Rhodes is therefore evil and must be expunged from history. He never existed, Rhodesia never existed.

After the American Civil War Abraham Lincoln wrote a thank you letter to the working men of Manchester for boycotting cotton imports from the southern states. Manchester City Council in the 1980s erected a statue of Lincoln in the city centre including a copy of the letter. Well it was almost a copy of the letter. Nearly a copy because they had changed Lincoln's wording from 'working men' to 'working people'. The politically correct nutjobs clearly think Lincoln was a dirty old mysogynistc, sexist, male chauvinist pig. So why put up the statue?

In the USA the same dark forces are at work with campaigns to have Confederate flags got rid of, statues of Confederate generals removed and their remains dug up from public spaces. Comedians in both the US and the UK hounded from university campuses because the politically correct thought police disapprove of their words. Academia, once the driving force of freedom of thought and expression is now the political commissar of one of the most oppressive yet subtle organs of totalitarianism ever seen on earth, political correctness.

Last week a couple were left dying in the Soviet Republic of Scotland in a crashed car for three days. The accident had been reported to the police who it seems just left them. The best way to get the attention of the Scottish police is to call a Scotsman a 'Jock' or a 'Sweaty Sock' on Twitter and at 4 00am you'll find your door kicked down by PC MacTavish and charged with thought crime. Or is it hate crime? I'm not sure.

On the question of hate crime what the fuck is it? It seems to me that if any crime, from murder to mugging, is perpetrated against a gay person, a person of another race or a disabled person it is a hate crime to the politically correct. It's as if crime from murder to mugging against the rest of us is a love crime and therefore less serious. More politically correct bollocks designed to divide and rule.

Political correctness is all about creating a sense of self-loathing. Ridicule our moral values, despise our history, label us all racist, homophobic, sexist, ageist or any other 'ism' you can imagine. The destruction of our way of life is the aim of the Frankfurt School of Marxism, the driving force behind political correctness and it seems to be working.

This is done by expanding the state. Make a large group dependent on welfare and they have been neutered politically and morally. At the other end of the spectrum more and more people are employed by the state making them as dependent on the state as the welfare dependents, Turkeys don't vote for Christmas. Academia has increasingly oppressed freedom of thought and expression, remember Professor Tim Hunt?

Whether a university, a charity or any other body applying for public funding or support you have to prove your politically correct credentials. Applying for contracts or employment with state or other public bodies and you will have to prove your politically correct credentials. You or your staff haven't been on a LGBT awareness course? Forget it. Haven't been on a gender awareness training course? Forget it. Haven't been on a racial equality and diversity training course? Forget it.

Dare to say the wrong thing and you will be sent to the intellectual gulag for the politically incorrect, maybe onto welfare or to university for retraining and rehabilitation. Brainwashing to you and me.

This madness must end.

The UN Says: "Be Happy You Miserable Bastards!"

If ever we needed a reminder of what a fatuous waste of time and money the United Nations is today is it. Today is the UN's International Day of Happiness so smile you git, including you lot over there in North Korea. Come on ISIS, put that cutlass down and instead of beheading that Christian, get him guffawing with a good, old fashioned Syrian, Iraqi and Iranian joke. Come on West Africa, stop worrying about Ebola for a day and get each other giggling. Vanuatu? Lighten up, you'll soon be looking back on the last fortnight and the only thing you'll remember is the UN making you happy today.

Then a few days back we had that grand old queen of England Elton John throwing yet another temper tantrum and calling for an international boycott of Dolce and Whatsit. Why was he in such an emotional state? Dolce and Whatsit, or Dolce or Whatsit maybe, had said that IVF was synthetic and that adoption should be restricted to traditional families, a man and a woman. Of course dare question the self-obsessed godmother of lifestyle and you cross the world's great and good, well, Posh Beckham and bloated, coke snorting, retired Argentinian football cheat Maradonna. (Think you'll find that's Madonna. Ed.) Yes the usual suspects who think it's cool to have a little mascot like Elton John to fawn and grovel over jumped on the bandwagon. Surprised they didn't get the Ouija board out for a quick quote from Liz Taylor.

Quite clearly IVF, by definition, is synthetic. Fact Elton, get over it you sad little git. As for adoption. Well I'm with Dolce and Whatsit on that one too. To be perfectly honest having seen and read so much about Elton John I can't imagine anybody less suitable to be a parent. But he typifies modern Britain, dare to disagree about something, especially regarding the current politically correct orthodoxy, and you fall head first into a shit storm of epic proportions, especially if it's concerning race or sexuality.

Yesterday I fell into my very own shit storm. It wasn't epic, it was a bit limp wristed coming from a Green Party tree hugger who I suspect hadn't eaten his lentils. I had the temerity on an internet forum to suggest that David Coburn, UKIP's MEP for Scotland, was guilty of nothing worse than stupidity when he said that he called Scottish politician Humza Yousaf, jokingly, Abu Hamza. It seems that because both are of similar ethnicity but one is a convicted terrorist this is racist. As I was defending Coburn, while calling him stupid (yes I know) said tree hugger then told me that I too am clearly a 'racist'. I told said Green Party weirdo that he was clearly a twat and promptly blocked him.

Two examples of how oppressive and anti free speech political correctness really is. Disagree with the politically correct and they hunt you down and, in the case of Elton John, will try to damage your business. In my case it was a dickhead using 'racist' as a term of abuse. In fact 'racist' is a word that is so misused today it is effectively meaningless.

As for the UN International Day of Happiness. About as interesting as the eclipse which seems to have only served to give saddoes in the media some sort of weird pseudo-sexual stimulation. The moon's crossing between us and the sun, big deal. I can stand on the station car park and when a truck goes up Warton Road it blocks my view of the Co-Op. Same thing surely?

FC United of Manchester and Red Fascists

We've been away this past fortnight but Facebook, Twitter and t'interweb generally help to keep you in touch, so I wasn't surprised when a rumpus kicked off around FC United again. Socialists really are tedious and dreary.

This one kicked off when a board member listed a range of political parties that they have decided are incompatible with supporting FC United. One of them was the UK Independence Party. Bear in mind that this is a club that constantly bangs on about equality, equal rights and standing up for the whole community. This is a decidedly Stalinist approach to people whose political views you happen to disagree with. What has my politics got to do with watching and supporting a football club?

It seems that if you want to leave the European Union, and believe in controlling immigration, then you are a raving racist/fascist/Nazi in the eyes of the commissars at FC United and they don't want you polluting the atmosphere at their games. I don't support UKIP but believe in a sensible immigration policy and independence from the EU. I am not a racist or a fascist and certainly no Nazi, neither is UKIP. That is the schoolboy level of political debate your average socialist is capable of in 2014, name calling and hurling abuse.

This juvenile labelling, especially the word 'racist' adds nothing to serious debate and has now led to the word 'racist' meaning absolutely nothing. It is nothing more than a word of abuse used to smear people and close debate. The left in this country seem to have an unhealthy obsession with race which makes me wonder what is really in their minds, deep, deep down. On a political level it is a vicious and cynical ploy to divide and rule. But deeper I fear their obsession with race has some deep rooted psychological reason that a psychiatrist could probably study quite extensively.

Ultimately there is no place for politics in sport. What I do know is that many people have walked away from FC United because of the increasing level of political extremism among senior members. I for one am not prepared to support the sporting section of an intolerant, bigoted, fascist/socialist organisation. It's sad because the club was set up for admirable reasons but I can no longer support the club any more than I could support the Glazer owned Manchester United.

Racism and Homophobia-Two Sides of the Same Coin

Had a couple of weeks in France, which was very enjoyable and pleasantly free of politically correct bullshit. I'm not sure whether that's because the French are too sensible to fall for political correctness or whether the language barrier just insulated us from it, either way it was very refreshing.

But no sooner do we return to Blighty than the onslaught of self-indulgent bollocks from the militant gay and race lobbies smacks us in the chops like a swipe across the head from a fat, slimy, smelly piece of fish.

First we heard some very successful black businesswoman, who made a mint in the City of London, whining on about breaking down the racial barriers in the UK. Tripe, she probably whines on about that notice in some idiots window in Notting Hill in the 1950s warning off blacks, dogs and Irish. Militant racial equality obsessives actually do more harm to the cause of community relations than the BNP ever could. Most people don't give a toss about somebody's ethnicity but do get pissed off at the likes of Lee Jasper and Diane Abbott who seem obsessed with race.

Then there is the slightly more recent phenomenon of homophobia in football. Forgive me but bollocks! Stonewall are having hissy fits because so many football clubs are refusing to be dictated to by them and are refusing to wear rainbow coloured bootlaces. It seems wearing rainbow laces would stop all that homophobia in football. What a load of fatuous crap.

But they never tell us what this homophobia consists of, or the racism in football the politically correct bang on about ad nauseam. A player was found not guilty of racism this week we are told. But we are not told what he was supposed to have said. They never do give examples because I doubt they exist. And there are probably people being offensive all the time about something or other, maybe race, sexuality maybe weight, accent or whatever, for God's sake grow a backbone and get on with life.

I don't think most people in this country care about whether somebody is gay or heterosexual. I don't think most people in this country spend a great deal of time obsessing and talking about their sexuality. I think most people in this country are extremely tolerant. But when the militant gay lobby constantly bangs on about their sexuality, day after day, constantly and unremittingly, it does eventually get on the tits of most people in this country. Just get on with you life, sex and sexuality are actually a small part of a balanced, healthy life, not the be all and end all.

So I conclude that anti racism campaigners and gay rights campaigners are two sides of the same coin. While the majority of gays and minorities get on with life to varying degrees of happiness and success the militant minority bang on, and on, and on very often using their race or sexuality to excuse their own personal failings and inadequacies. 

Racial Hysteria

Hysteria about race seems to bubble just below the surface in the UK after years of politically correct brain washing. Lefties and pinko-do-gooders love nothing more than a self righteous rant at some  perceived act of racism, it makes them feel better about their sad and pointless existences.

So, well done the Home Office, you've sent them into truly hysterical paroxysms  of rage with your stupid 'illegal immigrants piss off or get nicked' van trundling around London. Even pillock-in-chief of UKIP, Nigel Farage has condemned it.

Whoever has been involved in dreaming up this stupid, meaningless stunt should be sacked and never again employed in any public sector capacity. Our taxes are being wasted funding these idiots and their stupid schemes. A stupid scheme is what this is, it is not racism. But of course the loonies have gone into overdrive.

Diane Abbot, always one for a spot of moral outrage and senseless hyperbole, claims the wording is the same as 'Pakis go home'. Goes to show that even going to a posh public school doesn't guarantee you will be able to comprehend basic English. No Diane, nowhere on that van does it say 'Pakis go home'.

Then a lunatic from a refugee support group popped up on the radio claiming it could trigger race riots.  Quite how she couldn't explain but eh, never let rationality temper a bout of politically correct moral outrage.

One loony on the radio even claimed that this is how the Nazis treated the Jews in Germany. Now that is certifiably mad and grossly insulting to the millions of Jews exterminated by the Nazis and their relatives left behind. Faced with a van telling you to go home before you're found and sent out of the country is, I'm pretty sure, a much better option than being sent to Auschwitz in a cattle truck. I certainly know which option I'd take.

Racism and ant-racism, two sides of the same coin.

Coronation Street Race Row

For some time, probably years now, the writing on Coronation Street has been deteriorating. Sad I know, but I do actually watch that particular soap opera. Or I did until the latest storyline broke on Friday, but enough is enough, I am no longer watching it.

If you don't know Corrie is set in the fictional Manchester suburb of Weatherfield. Unlike other soaps it has rarely hit the big social issues of the day and has been popular for its dry, northern humour and irony. It was no-nonsense gritty working class drama that didn't take itself too seriously. Or it used to be like that.

In the last episode last week one character (Paul) turned to the other while playing darts in the pub and laughingly said: "Play the white man". That was it, it all kicked off. A black character (Lloyd) heard the phrase being uttered and became extremely angry, there was a huge row with the white character accused of racism. For the rest of the episode, like some kind of TV soap style Stalinist show trial, virtually every character popped up to condemn the evil racism that had caused such deep offence in the pub.

My problem with this is on several levels. Paul, the character who uttered the evil words, had previously shown absolutely no hint of racism or any other 'ism'. It came completely out of the politically correct blue. It was as if the writers had been sat around bored and decided it would be good for ratings to confront the issue of racism. It was clumsy to say the least and smacked of a writer being on a hobby horse.

On another level many people I know have used the phrase "play the white man", including me. Now I'm not going to self-flagellate and profess to have black friends so I'm not racist etc. etc., all I can say is read my blog and see if you detect anything that could be (mis)construed as racism. Maybe now I will think twice about using the phrase, just in case it does cause offence, but using the phrase hardly merits the user being treated like the reincarnation of Eugene Terreblanche. A jokey put down by the black character would have probably made the point much more effectively. But crying racism and going into Twitter style moral outrage belittles the victims of true racism and is highly patronising to most of us.

I am pissed off with politically correct bullshit. I am pissed off with patronising politically correct morons lecturing the rest of us about the evils of 'isms', 'isms' that usually exist in the patronising minds of the politically correct who are so feeble minded they desperately want to take offence on behalf of other people, people who rarely see anything to offend.

I suspect in a real working class Manchester pub the conversation would have gone something like:

Paul: "Play the white man".
Lloyd: "What do you mean you cheeky bastard?"
Paul: "What? I wasn't talking to you"
Lloyd: "Play the white man? As if you lot are better than us?"
Paul: "Oh shit yea, I didn't think of it like that, sorry mate, just a turn of phrase. Fancy a pint?"
Lloyd: "Cheers yea, pint of bitter please mate. Fancy a game of darts?"

That's why I will never watch Coronation Street again. While I still have the freedom I choose not to be brainwashed by the box in the corner.

I have just caught up on the BBC's Question Time from last night. I have concluded that the SNP are a bunch of detestable bigots fuelled by hatred of the English.

I am unaware of any Scottish people being attacked, verbally or physically, in England. But that claim was made on last night's programme, along with other lies about England and the English.

I am aware of numerous cases of English people being attacked in Scotland and in one case the boy was beaten to death. I am unaware of similar in England, although I do remember Scottish football fans ransacking Manchester before a recent football final.

When I visited Scotland a few years ago I was warned that I could have problems with local people if I left my Cross of St George on the back of my car. Friends have been told similar when visiting Scotland.

Maybe I'll make a donation to the SNP to help their breakaway from the United Kingdom.

Political Correctness? National Self-Loathing More Like!

There are idiots then there are the politically correct, far worse than the most idiotic of idiots. I haven't been blogging much in the last twelve months because I've been working hard, and doing very long hours, building a new business.

Now I know that will be a surprise to John Bercow, who thinks that Eastern Europeans are the ones who work hard and the English are lazy, slovenly bastards, but it happens to be true. Ironic really that a man who makes a very substantial living sitting on a throne shouting 'order, order' and living in palatial state apartments in the Palace of Westminster should be so arrogant as to slag off those of us in the real world but eh, he's got little man syndrome I suspect, reinforced by a gobby wife who towers above him just to emphasise his diminutive stature.

Then the news today has been full of crap from the new Children's Laureate, Malorie Blackman, banging on about how white parents don't buy books with black people on the cover. How she knows that I'm not sure, unless she's done a survey of several million people. But I suspect she's just making as offensively sweeping a generalisation as the BNP and their ilk are wont to do. Bear in mind this is a woman who writes books, for children, about whites being in a minority in this country and being oppressed and victimised by the black majority. She also claims to have felt 'invisible' growing up because she read books that didn't have black people in them. Didn't put her off becoming a successful writer though did it? I wonder if in her parallel universe there would be a white Children's Laureate?

Then in the Torygraph Tanya Aldred is banging on about how disgusting it is that there will not be a female cricket commentator when the Ashes are played this summer. Big bloody deal. Personally I find female commentators on football, cricket and rugby shrill and off putting and am glad it will be an all male commentary team. I also don't like the idea of male midwives, not that I've ever needed one, and actually feel much more comfortable seeing a female GP rather than a male GP. If that makes me guilty of any 'isms' then shame, but I don't give a shit.

Of course the real reason for political correctness is to cow us all into submission. When whites loathe themselves, men loathe themselves, the able bodied, the heterosexuals and other 'traditional' groups loathe themselves and they all loathe christians the job will have been done. We'll be mere cogs in the wheel of a powerful and controlling police state, bullied and pushed about because we hate ourselves and are too afraid to fight back .

Race War-The New Class War

The left love to divide and rule, or maybe that should read; the left have to divide and rule. They create hatred and animosity where it needn't exist so they can rush in and defend those 'under attack'. Just look how many decades they've been claiming the Tories are going to privatise the NHS, and the gullible believe it and become convinced the Tories will let poor people die if they form a government. Lies, lies and more lies.

But the old class warfare doesn't wash these days. Most people laugh if they hear an old school class warrior banging on about 'the workers' and 'comrades', and quite rightly too, it's a joke. The poor these days smoke, drive, have decent accommodation and a huge TV on the living room wall. Of course some people have less than others, that's life. But nobody in the UK today is starving to death, going to school in bare feet or living in squalor with inhabitable accomodation and cockroaches. So the left have had to create an alternative to class war. Race war.

The left, through political correctness, has created a climate whereby people daren't make a comment, no matter how harmless, about somebody of another race without the cry of racism going up. This week it's been race warrior Rio Ferdinand banging on about racism. It seems he and his brother were subjects of unpleasant chants this week from England fans, not surprising as they are obnoxious prats, but the claim is that there were 'racist undertones'. So "Rio Ferdinand, you know what you are" followed by a song about putting him on a bonfire is racist? Obviously not, to the sane, but many on the race obsessed left aren't sane. United fans have sung similar about City fans and Scousers for years. Is that racist too?

It's always a shame to see loony extremists using race for their own ends, be that the BNP on the nationalist far-left or the more internationalist left-wingers. Left, pardon the pun, to our own devices I reckon people of most races just rub along nicely together. As ever it is politicos and obsessives who cause the problems and resentment.

Of course we must remember that poor old Rio Ferdinand has faced such vile racism in this country that he only earns about £200,000 a week. Makes apartheid South Africa look cushy doesn't it?

Breaking Down Communities

Everything about political correctness and the modern obsession with 'equality' seems designed to divide communities and pit one group against another. Talk of community and society is cheap when we seem to be living in an era when disparate groups seem to think that we should all adapt our lives to suit them. It seems to be the tyranny of the minorities.

The horrific Harriet Harman has been at it again recently whining on about women only shortlists for parliamentary elections. David Cameron's been whining about there not being enough women in the Cabinet too. Personally I don't care what sex my MP is, as long as he/she is capable of doing a job. If I was faced with a candidate from a women only shortlist that would guarantee that particular candidate didn't receive my vote.

Then we have disability groups expecting the whole world to adapt on the off chance that a person with a particular disability is inconvenienced. I have every sympathy for people with disabilities, having worked for medical charities much of my working life, but there are far too many people working for disability groups, especially disability rights/pressure groups, who have a vested interest in constantly preaching at people. They are making good livings from doing it.

I have every sympathy with disabled people and have campaigned for disabled access to buildings etc. An example of the extreme I distrust was a case when I worked for a London charity a few years back. We had held an annual event in a particular venue and had spent many months with the management committee planning the event that particular year. A disabled person on the committee had taken part in the planning. But on the day he turned up, with a local newspaper journalist, and made a big deal about not being able to get in without assistance. We could have used a fully accessible venue and told the original venue why we had moved venue. But he wanted to be seen as a martyr.

Then there is the disproportionate amount of political influence gained by the militant gay lobby. Any criticism of gay people or gay lifestyle and the critic is branded homophobic. Catholic adoption agencies have been forced to close down because they would not place children with gay couples. The word 'marriage' has been redefined because gay people want to get 'married'. The whole of the population, it seems, has to change to accommodate the wishes of the militant gay lobby.

Racial politics is the obvious great divider. Criticise Islam and you're an 'islamophobe'. Criticise the levels of immigration and you're a 'xenophobe'. No place for rational debate, just stifle argument  branding opponents 'phobic'.

So here's one to ponder. I heard a black comedian on a comedy panel show having to say what reason she  had been given that  father Chritmas didn't exist. Her mother told her it was because she didn't want a fat white man with a beard taking credit for the presents she'd bought. I can't help wondering if that had been a white comedian talking about a black figure that she would have been branded racist.

Kick Out Racism

It was good to hear that the politically correct thought police have dropped their persecution of football referee Mark Clattenburg. Girls in Rochdale who were being sexually abused by gangs of Asian men were ignored when they complained to the authorities. But dare make an accusation of racism and the full force of the law cranks into operation. Racism is the new witchcraft.

Chelsea FC seem to be going out of their way lately to prove themselves the chavviest football club in the world. Their refusal now to apologise for making up claims of racism to attack Clattenburg show them to be a  club with no values, morality or honesty. Quite apt that in the sordid world of professional football they should be current European Champions.

The overwhelming majority of people are decent and have no interest in race whatsoever. It seems to me that a tiny minority are racially obsessed. The BNP, as we know, but also the left who see racism in everything. Let's face it, the left use race to divide and rule, throw racism at somebody then call the ethnic minorities into your arms for protection. The left and the BNP, two sides of the same coin.

But who are the real racists? The case against Clattenburg came about because of a complaint from the Society of Black Lawyers. Obviously the allegations weren't investigated by the National Black Police Association, otherwise he would probably have been found guilty instantly.

Change the words 'black' in the organisations above to 'white' and the paragraph immediately sounds like something from 1950s Alabama or apartheid South Africa. This virulent type of racism really should be kicked out.

Racism In Football-Kick It Out

The older I get the less I seem to understand. Earlier I blogged about Police and Crime Commissioners and how I just can't see the point of them. Now it's racism in football and Rio Ferdinand apparently setting up a trade union for black players only. Odd as I thought apartheid was a thing of the past, but so be it.

What I don't understand is why the authorites seem to be allowing virulent racism in football, apparently sweeping it under the carpet much more effectively than professional cycling swept doping under the carpet. Apart from Suarez and Terry behaving like pillocks I'm unaware of galloping racism in football. It seems to me that there are a higher proportion of black players in football today than the proportion of black people in the general population. Or are some clubs actually barring black players? I don't think so.

In the 1970s there were racist chants aimed at black players but the world has moved on and in recent years, watching football virtually weekly, I've been unaware of racism apart from the odd unpleasant individual. Maybe it is rampant in some Eastern European states, but certainly not in the UK.

Rio Ferdinand seems to be in a constant state of rage about race but doesn't stand up and give examples of racism in football. Earning more in a week than most people earn in a few years it doesn't seem to me like racism in football has held Ferdinand, or the many other successful black players.

The more I hear about this rampant racism in football the more I wonder why anybody gets involved with such an unpleasant sport. Maybe we should all boycott until it's cleaned up, as happened with cricket and rugby under apartheid. That Ferdinand should be making such a fortune in such a vile racist industry sickens me. He should walk away and have nothing to do with such a thoroughly unpleasant game. After all, he's probably made enough money from it to live in comfort for the rest of his life.

The Archers

I have a guilty secret, please forgive me. I listen to The Archers Omnibus on BBC Radio 4 on a Sunday morning. I go out for newspapers, leave one with my beloved the other I take to Mass. I sit in the car for 15 minutes before Mass listening to Aled Jones and usually scan the sport section and read Rod Liddle. After Mass I go home, start the bacon and we settle down with brekkie, the papers and The Archers. But no more, I've had enough.

I grew up in Gorton, Manchester and I thank God every day when I listen in to daily life in Ambridge that I grew up in an inner city area rather than in the countryside. I had such an innocent childhood compared to rural Ambridge which is littered with illegitimate children, broken marriages, racism, violence, murder, arson and fraudsters going to jail. Not to mention the local landowner falling to his death from his own roof and one brother running off with the other brother's girlfriend and baby.

Anybody who has made a few bob seems to be shady at best, downright corrupt at worst. The local vicar married a Hindu but his first wife's mother-in-law, a Christian from the Carribean, was adamantly against the relationship, intolerant Christian you see.  The most loving, and currently enduring relationship, is the gay one, of course.

Of course the BBC claim that the show reflects life, which is what drama is all about supposedly. Bullshit! It represents life through the eyes of a white, pinko liberal, middle class nobhead from Islington. You know the kind I mean, the one who bangs on about race all the time and sees racism in everything. I think I have a wide cross  section of friends, with a wide variety of views, but the only ones who bang on about race to a tedious degree are the lefties. Droning on, and on and on all the time. And they usually look shocked if challenged and piously tell you that it isn't all that long ago that every house in the country had obligatory 'no blacks, Irish or dogs' notices in the windows. They are the kind of brainwashed people who are trying to brainwash us through The Archers and the TV soaps.

Drama doesn't actually have to represent life, as evidenced by The Archers which currently represents a jaundiced and cynical politically correct loathing of all that Britain represents and stands for rather than anything like real life. Life isn't really like it is in Ambridge thankfully. I happen to enjoy drama that is idealised and uplifting, it doesn't always have to make you feel like slashing your wrists or throwing the radio off the balcony.

So today I turned The Archers off and will not be listening in future. The drama of real life is much more uplifting and enjoyable.

Who's the Real Racist?

John Terry has always struck me as being one of the more uncouth people in a severely uncouth business, professional football. Bear in mind this is a game where Graham Le Saux was hounded by other footballers for his alleged homosexuality. He wasn't homosexual as it happens, but they labelled him that because he reads The Guardian.

So the recent court case came as no surprise. Well that's not strictly true, I was surprised that the case ever went to court, but wasn't surprised that Terry was the accused. It turns out that the accuser, Anton Ferdinand, is every bit as uncouth and unpleasant as Terry. So why was I surprised it ended up in court?

Children use anything that is different about somebody to insult them if they fall out. In other circumstances children are frighteningly blunt in their innocence. For example if somebody with glasses upsets a child he is likely to be attacked and called "speccy four eyes". A child who sees a fat person is likely to innocently ask why they have such a big belly. A parental nightmare but done in innocence, if highly embarassing for said parents.

As children develop and mature they gain some sensitivity and desist from using those differences to attack people. Having said that, in a rage many grown ups still do it, but to a lesser extent. Hence Lancastrians and Yorkshiremen, especially at cricket games, will hurl abuse at each other based on place of birth. Football fans will abuse people from the south or the north, or for being Mancunians or Scousers. They will attack opponents who are overweight, who have had an extra-marital affair and so on. But in most reasonable people it is lighthearted at worst and never used to seriously insult and hurt an individual.

The problem with footballers is that many of them have not grown up and developed into mature, reasonable people. John Terry calling Ferdinand a black c#*t is case in point. If Terry had used his height, size of his waist, colour of his hair or whatever nothing would have been said. But it was the colour of his skin that was used to lash out. It wasn't a sinister racist incident, it was an emotionally, and educationally underdeveloped, pampered brat trying to hurt somebody.

This morning Rio Ferdinand is in the headlines. If you don't know he is the brother of Anton Ferdinand and when he's not playing football for ludicrous amounts of cash seems to be on Twitter or seeking something racist to get angry about. So why is Ferdinand Sr in the news today?

Well, Ashley Cole gave evidence at the Terry court case and declared that in his view Terry, his team mate, was not racist. Ashley Cole is black and was married to Cheryl Cole, the alleged singer. Somebody on Twitter tweeted:

"Looks like Ashley Cole's going to be their choc ice. Then again he's always been a sellout. Shame on him."

To which Rio Ferdinand replied:

" I hear you fella! Choc ice is classic hahahahahaha!!"

Another footballer proving that in that world you don't have to be very bright, or emotionally mature, to make a fortune. Bear in mind Cole has been Terry's team mate for quite a few years and probably knows him better than many of his own family. Why would anybody, especially a black man, sit there in court and declare that in his opinion  a man is not racist if he actually, to his knowledge is? 

In my  opinion what Ferdinand said, and the original Tweeter tweeted, is much more sinister and unpleasant than what the clown John Terry said. The reference to choc ice means that in their opinion Cole is black on the outside, white on the inside. Cole is clearly being attacked for not backing the black player in the case last week. I would hope the sell out reference isn't to Cole marrying a white woman.
